Kristen Stewart didn’t know who Diana Spencer was
January 12th, 2022 under Kristen Stewart. [ Comments: none ]

Kristen Stewart sat down with W Magazine and talked about how she got the role of Princess Diana in Spencer.

Stewart said that Pablo Larraín called her asked if she wanted to play Diana Spencer. The actress says she didn’t know who that was. Then the director told her it was Prince Diana. I guess it would be weird to hear the late Royal being called by born name because we never her called her that.

As we know, Stewart accepted his offer, but she had to do a lot mentally to prepare to play the beloved legend. She told the interviewer, “I think physically seeing how much I could put myself through. How cold I could get. How skinny I could get. How tired I could get. I still felt 10′ tall.” She attributes the last one to the strength that Lady Di had throughout her marriage to Prince Charles.

Can you think of a time we ever saw Princess Diana appear weak? She stood tall and in charge, even with everything she was put through in front of the public and behind closed doors.

Can Kristen Stewart tilt her head anymore during the Spencer trailer?
September 23rd, 2021 under Kristen Stewart. [ Comments: none ]

The first full trailer is out for Spencer, and can you see why the critics are raving about Kristen Stewart’s performance? I don’t.

She just doesn’t have Princess Diana’s beautiful essence. Stewart is also reserved, but not the same way as Lady Di. She is just not her to me. Stewart is more of a Meghan Markle.

What do you think? Will you go see it on November 5th?

Do you believe Kristen Stewart as Princess Diana in the Spencer trailer?
August 26th, 2021 under British Royals, Kristen Stewart. [ Comments: none ]

After months of teasing us with photos of Kristen Stewart as Princess Diana in Spencer, we finally got a trailer. In print, you can see the resemblance. In video, it doesn’t work.

The actress is not as feminine as Lady Di. She is also too bony. I just see Bella from Twilight and not the woman we revered.

There was a sweetness to Diana, and Stewart has a toughness about her. That is why she was perfect to play Joan Jett, but not the right person for the Princess of Wales.

And don’t get me started on the actor who is playing Prince Charles. At least that is who I think that man in the trailer is supposed to be.

What do you think? Do you agree with the people who say she will get an Oscar for the role?

Spencer comes out on November 5th.

Neon

A few weeks ago, Neon released the first photo of Kristen Stewart as Princess Diana, and the resemblance was remarkable. Today, they released a second photo, and I am not seeing it anymore.

Now, she looks more like she is dressed up as Melanie Griffith in Working Girl than Lady Spencer.

So what is the movie Spencer, that she is starring in, about? December 1991: The Prince and Princess of Wales’ marriage has long since grown cold. Though rumours of affairs and a divorce abound, peace is ordained for the Christmas festivities at Sandringham Estate. There’s eating and drinking, shooting and hunting. Diana knows the game. This year, things will be a whole lot different.

Spencer will be released in the fall of 2022 in order to commemorate the 25th anniversary of her death. It seems like this film would not be the best choice to honor that occasion, what do you think?

Shoebox Films

Shoebox Films released the first photo of Kristen Stewart as Princess Diana in their upcoming film Spencer, and I am blown away. I never expected her even to come close to looking like the beloved Lady Di. However, she does.

Now, it could just be one picture, but it is a pretty gosh darn amazing photo.

Am I sold on her playing the legendary Princess? Not yet. But I am almost there. What about you?
