NBC has been hush-hush about when Kelly Clarkson was going to debut her daytime talk show in its new home of New York City. Well, today, they broke their silence. The singer’s talk show will be back on October 16th.
She is not the only one hitting the airwaves on that day; so is Drew Barrymore. Unlike Clarkson, Barrymore attempted but failed to bring her show back while the WGA strike was still going on. So, I am sure her show will start with a teary-eyed apology.
The only daytime talk show we are waiting to hear from is The Talk. And I am assuming, since it is a CBS show like Barrymore’s, that it will also be back on the 16th.
Hopefully, by then, the SAG strike will be over, and actors can talk about their work again! Actually, I just want the actors to get a fair contract and be able to go back to work.
Kelly Clarkson was in Las Vegas for an IHeartRadio performance. While she was on her way to soundcheck, she saw a woman singing Tina Turner on the street. So, the American Idol stopped to give her a tip. Well, the woman asked Clarkson to sing.
Believe it or not, the woman didn’t know who Clarkson was. Even after she started singing. So when the talk show host told her who she was, the woman hugged Kelly as hard as she could.
That moment made Clarkson’s day. And I am sure that woman was waiting for a moment like this to happen all of her life.
And this is why Clarkson is an American Idol in more ways than one.
Kelly Clarkson lived a few blocks from me in LA before moving to NYC, and I was a little bummed about that. However, seeing how happy she looks in my old hometown makes me happy for her.
The singer was on Today this morning, and I couldn’t get over how radiant she looked. Not only that, she looks like she took off a few pounds because she has to walk and subway everywhere now.
Kelly Clarkson and Andy Cohen were talking shit on Watch What Happens Live, and their conversation literally turned to shit.
The host asked her if she ever peed during a concert. She hasn’t. But she did tell him there were two times she had to stop her show to poop.
One time was when she got food poisoning in Germany and turned the bathroom into that scene from Bridesmaids. The other time was when she pooped in a trash can during a costume change at Staples.
It wasn’t all bad. She said, “Not many people have been cheered on while shitting. And I have.”
