Kathy Griffin – Not Everybody Loves Patricia Heaton
December 26th, 2006 under Kathy Griffin, Unadmirable People. [ Comments: none ]

"I used to think Patricia Heaton was funny, but now I’m just grossed out by her!" Those are the biting words of comic Kathy Griffin, who’s been blasting the former "Everybody Loves Raymond" star in her new sold-out comedy tour. Griffin’s taken the 48-year-old actress to task for her conservative views on subjects such as gay rights and stem cell research. "The whole gay issue, I gotta tell you – when I hear Patricia talking her bull—- and saying it’s not in the Bible that gay people should be together – those are the pieces of information that I can’t forget about," said Kathy. The self-proclaimed "D-list" star, 46, slammed Patricia at a special charity event held at the Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian Center on Dec. 7, where she made a $10,000 donation. "Kathy was ruthless about Patricia," an event attendee told The ENQUIRER. "She told the mostly gay audience that Patricia should not be trusted because she ‘hates you gays.’ The shocked audience gasped – it got very quiet." Kathy went on to call Patricia a hypocrite because she hires gay hairdressers and makeup people. "Patty Heaton has the gayest makeup person you’ve ever seen," Kathy told the audience. "I can’t get beyond it. It’s the hypocrisy." Said the observer: "Kathy definitely opened up our eyes to what Patricia really thinks of her gay fans."

National Enquirer

This should really not come as a suprise to anyone considering her views on abortion. Hopefully Patricia is investing her residuals from ELR wisely because I doubt she will be cast in anything soon.

Will the third season be a charm for Kathy Griffin?
November 28th, 2006 under Kathy Griffin, TV Reality. [ Comments: none ]

There’ s no place like the D-List for Kathy Griffin, and Bravo concurs with a third season renewal for the acclaimed Emmy-nominated unscripted series "Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List." Six episodes of her no-holds barred, one-hour series are set to return in 2007 on Bravo, it was announced today by Frances Berwick, Executive Vice President, Programming and Production, Bravo. "Kathy’s unique style of comedy is brilliantly showcased with this series, and the new season will continue to show her D-List life in hilarious Technicolor, and her daily struggle to move up the celebrity food chain," said Berwick. Even with a third season renewal of her series, the talented comic Kathy Griffin still revels life on the D-List. But with an Emmy nod for her Bravo series, is she finally getting A-List props? Naaaah! Life still holds its indignities for the talented comic, and in the new season, viewers will relish in fantastic new D-List adventures. Her career is on a roll and the comic is in better form then ever, which only serves up more challenges for the dog-tired Kathy, who must show more fortitude than ever to stay at the top of her game. Returning this season are some of Griffin’s "peeps" including her assistant, Jessica, and her loveably wacky parents, John and Maggie Griffin. Look for a new motley crew of personalities to pop in on Kathy’s hectic life in the new season.

Bravo

I so can’t stand her.

Bid on a dinner with Kathy Griffin
July 24th, 2006 under Admirable People, Kathy Griffin. [ Comments: none ]

Want to have a walk on role in a Broadway musical? Or what about an “acting Shakespeare” lesson with Lynn Redgrave? Or wouldn’t you just love to have dinner with Kathy Griffin? (Trust us, she won’t bite … much.) Well, all these fantastic dream prizes can be yours … for a price.
How much? Depends on you. Starting today, these and many other incredible prizes are being auctioned to benefit the Actor’s Fund. The Actor’s fund is an organization that helps performing artists in crisis. (As if there was any other kind? Yeesh.) Seriously, the Fund is a terrific organization that provides a broad range of services for actors in TV, film and theater. Besides the wonderful prizes listed above, people will have two weeks to bid on tons of autographed memorabilia and other collectibles, tickets, and celebrity-encrusted things like dinner with Liam Neeson and Natasha Richardson. Hmm? Dinner with Liam and Tascha? What would we have to talk about? “Uh, hey, Liam …uh … you’re Irish, right?” (Uncomfortable silence.) “Natasha … uh … Could you pass the bangers and mash?” I think we’ll stick to bidding on dinner with Kathy Griffin. At least we won’t have to do any of the talking — that’s for sure! To find out what else is being auctioned off or to place a bid, go here. And if you do bid on the dinner with Kathy, please don’t be chintzy or we’ll never hear the end of it. Ms. G doesn’t like to be treated cheaply … except in very special circumstances. And now that she’s single, who knows what might happen!

 Bravo’s The Dish

I do not know about you, but just the concept of having dinner with Kathy Griffin makes me want to lose my dinner. Now the other items are cool.
