Jay Leno crossed something off of his bucket list and it was almost the last thing he crossed off of it. For his CNBC show Jay Leno’s Garage this Wednesday at 10p, he rode in the 2,500 HP powered Hemi Under Glass driven by stunt driver Bob Riggle at Irwindale Speedway and something went horribly wrong. Riggle hit a turn too hard and the automobile flipped over several times before finally coming to a stop. When they did, both men simultaneously asked if the other one was OK. Thankfully both men were uninjured, but I am sure not unsoiled.
Since they had cameras rolling on the outside and the inside, you can see just how scary and how scared they were as they kept going around and around and around.
I guess that is two things he can cross of his list. Going for a ride on two wheels in the Hemi Under Glass and crashing in a race car.
Seeing what happens when you crash in one, makes you wonder why regular cars aren’t built as tough as them. Food for thought.

It has been a few years since Jay Leno decided to leave The Tonight Show and we haven’t seen him around as much as he we used to. So what is the former talk show host up to these days? Recently there was video of him uncovered working as a valet at the Magic Castle. Is that how he is making money now?
In a way yes. What? He put on a disguise to trick the patrons at the iconic Hollywood spot to promote the return of his CNBC show Jay Leno’s Garage on June 15th.
Would you trust the car enthusiast as a valet? I’ve driven behind him a few times and he is a really good driver. Even in cars that are way older than him.
Jimmy Fallon told a joke on The Tonight Show yesterday that caused him a little discomfort and he needed to stop. Since the show must go on, he wanted to see if there was anyone that could fill in for him. Luckily, Jay Leno was available and took over the monologue.
This was not the Leno we used to know, he was a lot more risque and I liked it. Too bad he couldn’t have been that way when he had the show the first and second time. Wonder if the third one will be the charm. Joking, that ship has sailed. Or has it?
Actually, it is amazing how much late night television has changed since Leno left the show just a year and a half ago. All because of Fallon, if you think about it.
Ever since Jay Leno left The Tonight Show a year and a half ago, we’ve rarely seen him. But that has all changed because today he reappeared as an Uber driver. So you have to wonder if he has hit tough times? Nope, it is just some publicity he is doing for his CNBC show Jay Leno’s Garage that debuts on October 7th.
BTW As someone who has driven by him a few times, he is a really good driver. So whoever gets a Uber ride from him, should feel comfortable driving with him.
