We all know that Ted Mosby was played by the sweet Josh Radnor, but he was not the first actor to be offered the role on How I Met Your Mother. The part was originally offered to Jason Biggs, but he turned it down.
“I was offered the role, and it’s probably my biggest regret, you know, on passing,” the American Pie star told SiriusXM’s The Covino & Rich Show. ”I think I was in a phase at the time, it sounds so, so obnoxious to say right now, but at the time, it was like, ‘OK, do I want to do TV?’ I don’t know that I was quite ready to go that route.”
Then he says shortly after he said no, two things happened. The show became a huge success, and he decided he wanted to do television shows.
While he regrets turning it down, he is happy with how his life is turning out. However, if he could go back in time, he would totally do the show.
The DJs also wanted to know if his American Pie lover Alyson Hannigan gives him crap about turning down the role. He says he doesn’t know if she knows that they almost played best friends on TV.
When it comes to if I think he would’ve been a good choice for the part? I am a Biggs fan, but he would have been too much. Neil Patrick Harris was the bigger than the life character, and the series only needed one them. It is better than Ted Mosby was played by someone who is a lot tamer and nebbishy. That is what made Radnor so endearing on the show.
What do you think it would have been like if Biggs played the lead on the sitcom?
So you know how we leave out milk and cookies for Santa Claus? Well, does that mean we have to leave out apple pies for Jason Biggs when he is filling in?
If we do, how do we explain to the kids why the filling in the middle is missing from the pie? Do we say Santa’s sack feel into it? It is much better than telling them the truth. Imagine having to explain to them that Kris Kringle doesn’t exist and also having the sex talk on the same day? It is enough to make you drink adult egg nog without the egg nog.
There is a viral of an apple pie that has people salivating. As wet as our mouths are for it, Jason Biggs has another body that is dripping in anticipation.
The American Pie actor wrote, “Whoa. I would really have my work cut out for me.” Since we all saw all of him American Reunion, he isn’t kidding. However, it is a challenge worth accepting. Hopefully, he will share it with us.

Jason Biggs, like almost every actor, is out of work because of the coronavirus pandemic. Since he is home, he decided to try a new look and grow out a pornstache. One that makes him look like when he is ready to go back to his day job, it will be in adult entertainment.
He shouldn’t have any problems changing careers. After all, we saw his penis in American Pie’s final movie.
Fox thought it would be cute to ask their newest stars Maggie Lawson and Jason Biggs some this or that questions? Well, the interviewer didn’t realize what a can of worms she opened up when she asked the actors from Outmatched, “Cake or pie?”
Biggs said to the woman, “OK. You know what? Really?” At first, his TV wife could not understand why he got so upset. Then when she did, she tried to answer it like any of those other questions. Her TV husband, on the other hand, responded by asking, “That depends, to f*ck or to eat?”
If only there was a movie that could answer the question for all of us. Hopefully, their show, that debuts on Thursday at 8:30p, is as funny as their response to this question.
