June 4, 2007 ‘Indiana Jones 4’ extras call for New Haven shoot It’s no secret that the cast and crew of “Indiana Jones 4” will be traveling to New Haven, Conn. to shoot a sequence for one of the most anticipated films of Steven Spielberg’s career, and now’s your chance to be a part of the action!
The production is holding an open casting call for extras to appear in a sequence where Indy tears through campus on a motorcycle (along Chapel Street in New Haven). The call, organized by Billy Dowd Casting, will be held on Monday, June 11 and Tuesday, June 12 at the Omni Hotel at Yale between 1 p.m.-9 p.m. both days.
You must be 18 years or older, and you must bring a headshot with you to the casting call. (Photos will not be returned, so make sure that it’s not your only copy.) Filming of the New Haven sequence will take place between June 28 and July 7.
Best of luck to anyone who attends the extras casting call. Be sure to share your experience of the call, or (if you get onto the film) the production itself with us in our “Indiana Jones” forum here at SpielbergFilms.com.

George Lucas thinks that Spiderman 3 is silly. |

In an interview with Fox 411, George Lucas gave his Spiderman 3 review. He said, "It's silly. It's a silly movie. There just isn't much there. Once you take it all apart, there's not much story, is there?" He added, "People thought 'Star Wars' was silly, too," he added, with a wink. "But it wasn't." Ummm, I have to disagree with Lucas because the last 2 Star War films were beyond silly and not in a good way. I barely got through the last one.
Lucas also talked about Indiana Jones 4, but didn't eliborate too much because Steven Spielberg wants to keep the movie a secret. He said, "Steven thinks we can keep the whole thing a secret. I explained to him that it's impossible nowadays. We can't live like that." He was could not say if Karen Allen will be back, but did confirm that script includes Sean Connery's character but he has not signed on yet.

Indiana Jones finds love with Cate Blanchett |

Harrison Ford might not be able to use a real whip in Indiana Jones 4, but looks like we will know who will have his character whipped in the movie. UGO is reporting that Cate Blanchett has signed on to play Indiana Jones' love interest. The other thing that UGO is reporting is that the possible title of the move is Indiana Jones and the City of G-ds, but that is very possible. Also it is not know if Sean Connery and Karen Allen will reprise their rolls in the sequel. What we do know is that filming begins in LA and around the world in June and is due out on May 22, 2008.
Thanks Scott W!

Is this how Harrison Ford is preparing for Indiana Jones 4? |

I read earlier today that Harrison Ford was getting in shape for Indiana Jones 4 and then I saw this photo. Which makes me wonder if this source lied to AskMen, "He's been furiously working out on the treadmills at a Los Angeles gym for about three hours a day to get in shape. "He's on a strict high protein diet. He's eating lots of fish and vegetables. It's hard but he's already looking great for it. He wants to make sure Indiana is as tough as he always was." What do you think?

The new safety laws have Indiana Jones and Harrison Ford whipped? |

Harrison Ford has threatened to quit the new Indiana Jones movie, unless he gets to use a real whip. The 64-year-old actor, who plays the daredevil archaeologist, was told the weapon would have to be computer generated because of new film safety rules. Harrison branded the rule "ridiculous" and said he would pull out of the film if he couldn’t wield his whip. A source said: "The idea was to take away the risk element the whip carries. "Safety laws have changed since the last film and movie makers have to be much more careful. Now they use computer graphics for any dangerous stuff."
Monsters & Critics
Can you believe with all the delays for this movie, that a simple thing like a real whip might be the final nail in this movie’s coffin?
