Masi Oka enjoys being a chick magnet
March 15th, 2007 under Heroes. [ Comments: none ]

In Touch Weekly has the cutest quote from the cutest actor on TV today. Masi Oka my favorite hero on Heroes has this to say in an interview about his new found hunkyness, "I now have power over hot women – at the moment at least," he laughs. "I've had girls just come up to me – that would normally walk by – and they hug and kiss me and say, 'Oh my God, I love you.' When they run away, I'm like , 'Wow! Wait, wait. Where are you going? Don't run away. It's been kind of surreal." To think a year ago he had a tech job working as an editor on such films like Stars Wars and Pirates of the Caribbean and now he has a new career of being a hot actor!

OMG how freaking cute is that? I just want to see him walking around Los Angeles, give him a hug and a kiss and walk way. Well maybe not walk away! LOL! I really hope People names him one of the sexiest men because he deserves it!!!

Tim Kring previews season two of Heroes
March 1st, 2007 under Heroes. [ Comments: 1 ]

Tim Kring, creator of NBC's hit series Heroes, told SCI FI Wire that the upcoming second season will constitute a new volume in the multi-volume series, with new characters and an entirely new storyline. "If you remember, the opening of the pilot pronounced the episode as the beginning of Volume One," Kring said in an interview. "Volume One comes to a conclusion at the end of episode 23, and Volume Two starts with the opening of season two. And Volume Two is a different story." Kring added: "We could have new people and new storylines and new ideas and new threats and new bad guys and new heroes. So I would prepare the audience for that idea, that it's not just a continuing serialized storyline about only these people. It's a little more the 24 model than the Lost model." "Heroes needs to evolve, and if we are positing an idea that this is happening all over the world to many, many people, then we get to see some of those people and see how their story fits in." Kring also confirmed that some of the current heroes just might not survive this season, but added: "Many of your favorites will live to fight again."

I am so not loving that. To me it sounds a lot like the second season of Lost where they kept a lot of the same characters and then added a lot more that we didn't care about and basically ruined the show. I really hope Kevin Reilly (Seriously why was he re-upped today?) stops them from doing this. We so need a Hero that has the power to stop them from doing this to season two.

NBC renews Heroes and three other shows
February 19th, 2007 under Heroes, NBC. [ Comments: none ]

They’ve saved the cheerleader, and now "Heroes" will have a little longer to save the world. NBC has given the first-year hit an early pickup for the 2007-08 season, network chief Kevin Reilly told reporters Wednesday at the Television Critics Association press tour. Three other series — comedies "My Name Is Earl" and "The Office" and long-running drama "Law & Order: SVU" — also got the go-ahead for next season. "These four series represent some of the best of what we consider to be the ‘NBC brand’ of quality shows," Reilly says. "It’s a pleasure to give them an early renewal to develop more stories for next year, since we know they will remain both critical and commercial successes for a long time to come." None of the four pickups is much of a surprise. "Heroes," after all, is the top new show of the season in both viewers and the coveted adults 18-49 demographic, drawing better than 15 million viewers per week. "SVU" is NBC’s No. 2 drama at 12.9 million viewers per week, and "Earl" and "The Office" are both drawing solid numbers on Thursdays, particularly among younger viewers. " "Heroes," which returns from hiatus next week, has also added one more episode to its order for this season, bringing the total to 23.

Yay!!! I am so happy Heroes is coming back, I just hope it doesn’t go the same route as Lost. It will be interesting to see now that SVU is officially coming back if Mariska Hargitay and Chris Meloni will too?
