January 10th, 2009 under Hallmark. [ Comments: 6 ]

When Pete (Jason Priestley) and Donna (Teri Polo), a busy professional couple, are told their latest fertility test is negative, their world crashes down around them. Their once-strong marriage quickly unravels and literally goes south when a business associate of Pete’s offers them the use of his vacation home in Mexico. But the getaway takes an unexpected detour across the border when they take a wrong turn on a dirt road, leaving them with a damaged SUV, far from a main highway and out of cell phone range. When they spot a nearby sign pointing to the town of Dommatina, they agree to head there for repairs. What happens in the tiny village over the next six days not only changes the lives of the couple but of all of the townspeople they meet, including a kind priest (Cheech Marin), a young boy with an infectious positive outlook, and his watchful older brother (Shalim Ortiz). When all is lost, it takes a village to create a miracle.

Expecting a Miracle is the story of a couple who have unsuccessfully been able to have a baby and the stress of it is taking a toll on their marriage. So their doctor lends them their house to try to save their marriage. On the drive down to hsi place, their car breaks down and they get trapped in a small town that will have a big impact on their lives. Once in this town they are both put to work. Teri Polo helps the teacher with the kids, while Jason Priestley works with the Priest to build a structure for their festival that will let a little boy who has problems walking fly. What these two learn is stop the hustle and bustle of their old lives and find their love again while doing good for others.

Where to get the CD from the real choir from The Christmas Choir
January 8th, 2009 under Hallmark. [ Comments: 2 ]

Last month Hallmark aired one of the best and most inspirational telemovies in a really long time. The Christmas Choir is based on the real life story of how the Montreal Homeless Choir was formed. Many people saw this movie and just fell in love with the story, and also the real life choir. Several people including myself searched for info on this choir, just so we could buy their CD, but to no avail. All I could find (thanks to my readers) was that the choir had split because the men had found jobs and got their lives back! (How amazing is that!) That was until Jeanne-Marie did the right search and spoke to the man that believed so much in these homeless men that he founded a choir with them and together they toured the world. Pierre told her the choir has 6 CDs (2 Christmas, 2 regular in french, 1 english, 1 musical healing) and that are available for just $10 each. In fact since the movie aired on December 6th, 530 CDs were shipped to America and those were just the few people who could actually find the Foundation Brouillon d’Idees website. At that site you can also learn more about the Montreal Homeless Choir!!!
If you missed The Christmas Choir when it originally aired Hallmark, please make sure to watch it the next time it airs. It will really inspire you and touch your heart!
xoxo Jeanne-Marie!

The Nanny Express premieres tonight at 9p!
January 3rd, 2009 under Hallmark, Reviews. [ Comments: 11 ]

By the time Kate Hewitt (Vanessa Marcil) walks through the front door of widower David Chandler (Brennan Elliott), he is a desperate man. His two children, nine-year-old Ben (Uriah Shelton) and teenager Emily (Natalie Dreyfuss), have already succeeded in chasing a string of six terrorized nannies out of the very same entryway. But Kate, who is caring for an ailing father (Dean Stockwell) and finishing up a teaching degree, needs this job and she resolves to stand up to whatever tricks and pranks the Chandler kids can dish out—and to help them cope with the death of their mother.
As Kate slowly wins over young Ben, dad David finds himself falling for the spunky nanny as well. The feeling is mutual, but a bitter Emily is determined not to let Kate into her life—or her father’s. Emily doesn’t realize that Kate understands exactly what she’s going through because Kate lost her own mother as a teenager. Somehow, Kate must find a way to reach the angry and isolated teen since Emily’s happiness—and Kate’s as well—depends on it.

The Nanny Express is a cute story about a woman who is taking care of her sick father takes on a job as a nanny to two kids who recently lost their mother. The kids do not want a nanny and they terrorize them as much as they can, wait until you see what they do to Kate. Eventually Kate starts to befriend the son and more than befriend the dad, but Emily is not ready to let any woman in to her dad’s life. Will Emily eventually be willing to late Kate in or will it be too late and Kate will be out of their lives forever. Tune in to find out.
Also there is another romantic story within this movie about a bus driver, played by the suave Peter Dobson, who has a crush on Kate’s friend who doesn’t seem interested him. Will he be able to win her heart driving Kate and her friend around or will he rides be a lonely one. Personally I wish Hallmark would give this plot its own movie because I really loved it and wanted more!!!
Vanessa Marcil is great the nanny who is not going to let the kids she is taking care of get her down. I also loved the kids play by Uriah and Emily who I bet had a lot of fun making some of the scenes of the movie! It was also nice to see Dean Stockwell and Stacy Keach back on TV! All in all it was a fun innocent movie!
So let The Nanny Express take care you tonight on Hallmark at 9p!!!

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year premieres tonight
December 13th, 2008 under Hallmark. [ Comments: 12 ]

Jennifer Cullen (Brooke Burns) is a single, working mom who has become somewhat of a Scrooge when it comes to the Holiday season. Even her six-year-old son Brian is having trouble believing in Santa Claus. When Jen’s Uncle Ralph (Henry Winkler), a retired police officer, comes to visit for Christmas, he brings along a new friend, a nomad and Jack-of-all-trades named Morgan Derby (Warren Christie). The two met on a flight, and Morgan’s plans to continue on to Denver are cancelled when he finds out the city is completely snowed in. Jen is wary of the stranger, but at Ralph’s request, agrees to let him stay the night. She warms up to Morgan, especially when she sees how he interacts with Brian. Uncle Ralph approves of Morgan, too, but Jen’s boyfriend Richard isn’t nearly as receptive.
Meanwhile, Morgan has started to really like Jen, but if she can’t manage to make Christmas about anything more than business, Morgan will be on his way to Denver, and she’ll have missed the opportunity that was right in front of her. Uncle Ralph has done what he can to keep Morgan around, but it’s going to take something more than that to get him penciled into Jen’s long-term plans. Jen just needs to learn “how to do Christmas,” and it turns out Morgan is the perfect one to teach her.

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year premieres on the Hallmark Channel tonight at 9p and it is a really sweet movie! Anything with Henry Winkler immediately has me and he is perfect in this movie! Warren Christie is adorable as Morgan and you will that you have an uncle who will bring him over as Christmas gift too!
The Most Wonderful Time of the Year is the perfect movie to make some popcorn for and sit in front of the fire and watch, so do just that tonight at 9p on The Hallmark Channel!

Attend The Christmas Choir on Hallmark tonight
December 6th, 2008 under Hallmark. [ Comments: 17 ]

Peter Brockman (Jason Gedrick) is a successful-but-spiritually lost accountant whose life is turned on its head when he begins volunteering at a homeless shelter run by the caring-yet-cantankerous Sister Agatha (Rhea Perlman). Amazed at the musical prowess of some of the shelter’s occupants, Peter sets out to organize them into a choir, singing holiday tunes in a local subway station. Though the singers and Peter each go through their own difficult personal trials, they slowly begin to learn to trust in each other and the power their music holds. “The Christmas Choir” is inspired by the true story of a man volunteering at a homeless shelter who saw a way to help the men living there by creating a choir from their surprising musical talents. The group, which went on to record several albums and tour the world, experienced such success that the singers where able to gain the financial security and personal confidence to leave the streets forever.

The Christmas Choir is an inspirational story of a man who works too much and how one chance encounter changes his life forever. Jason Gedrick stars as an accountant who meets a homeless man and when he goes to the man’s shelter he finds out that they can sing. As he spends more time with them, he decided to start a choir with them. This choir goes on to win contests, play respected events and be interviewed by the press. People look at them because of their voices and not where they live.
Rhea Perlman plays the unconventional nun who runs the shelter and the rest of the cast are believable in their roles and boy can they sing!
This movie will put you spirit of the holiday as in doing something good for someone else! I know it made me want to do. It also makes me want to buy the choir’s CD because I loved the movie so much!
So tune in to The Christmas Choir, a movie that will make you cry in a good way tonight on Hallmark at 9p!!!

UPDATE: Here is the info where you can get the CD from the real Christmas Choir!
