SOME SPOILERS SO DON’T READ ALL THE WAY THROUGH IF YOU HAVEN’T SEEN THE ABOVE EPISODE!
Yesterday was the fall finale of Glee and boy it didn’t disappoint. So many plot lines wrapped up and so many to look forward it that it was very satisfying. And a show that is built on its music had one of its best numbers of the season when Rachel belted our Don’t Rain On My Parade (at 24:00 in) and Lea Michelle sang at as though she were singing it for life. It was butter! And how much did your heart break when Schue was listening to their performance over the phone with such pride? And how great was it to see him finally get some balls when he told Terry how he felt about her. But what was even better is when Figgins finally handed Sue Sylvester her balls on a plate when she got caught leaking the set to the other schools! Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned and you know when the show comes back in April all hell is going break loose when she seeks revenge on everyone. I am scared of the horror she will bring forth.
Now I am ready to bring some hell onto So You Think You Can Dance…dang you Adam Shankman for overpraising Mollie and Nigel Lythgoe for letting the show go long because I missed the kiss between Schue and Emma because my DVR cut it out to record Ryan Murphy’s other show Nip/Tuck and Travel Channel’s Man v Food and I was watching Glee live. Nigel this isn’t the summer and you are leading into a repeat, this is the fall and you are leading into the most original show on TV in a really long time so give it the respect it deserves. How would you like it if your show was delayed because of someone else’s over yapping like yours? And to the Judges of American Idol please try to remember that in 4 months when Glee is finally back, but I guess because you are the number one rated show for the last several years… you can do what you want!!! Dang it…
Tonight is the night we have been waiting for all season on Glee…Sectionals. Well that and now that Schue knows Terri is not pregnant and Quinn was going to give her her baby, will he expose that secret to his Glee club and will Emma cancel her wedding to be with her newly single crush? And wait there is an even bigger cat that is going to be come out of the bag, Mercedes let’s it slip that Puck not Finn is the father of Quinn’s baby, how will everyone react when they find out the truth? Will they make it to Sectionals or will there be too much sh!t raining down on them from the fan that the thing we have all been waiting for and they have been striving for not happen? I can’t wait to watch it all go down tonight on Fox at 9p! And make sure to have the Kleenex ready because once the credits roll and they leave us with a major cliffhanger, you will realize we will have to wait 4 months and 4 days until we find out what happens. Sorry Fox, but dang you for making us wait that long for another new episode.
UPDATE: Here is something to ease the pain of the over 4 month wait for another episode. The Live Feed is reporting that Idina Menzel is in talks to play the coach of their top glee club competition Vocal Adrenaline. Sadly I was hoping, like everyone else, she would Rachel’s surrogate mom, but having her on the show is good enough. Hey we might have a Wicked reunion because Kristin Chenoweth is reprising her role in at least one episode of the bottom when the show returns in April.
Ever since John Lennon sang his inspirational song Imagine, singers have tried to capture the powerfulness that he had when sang those words and in my opinion no one has. That was until last night when the Fox’s Glee did a version of it with a deaf glee club. Not since Lennon has any renditions of it brought tears to my eyes and no matter how many times I have watched it (I’ve lost count) I still get teary eyed. Just the powerfulness of a group of singers signing the words to the song with the compassion of Lennon’s voice was enough but when Mercedes (Amber Riley) and Artie (Kevin McHale) toned down their normal singing levels and joined them my cold heart melted. Minus Rachel (Lea Michelle) everyone brought down their vocals to match those signing and it just made the song so much more emotional. I am still blown away what an amazing job the show did with it, that I had to share it with y’all.
When it comes to things I am thankful for this Thanksgiving, Glee is one of them!!!

Before Matthew Morrison was leading the Glee Club and teaching them how to sing and dance, he was singing and dancing in Hairspray. How much fun was it to see the 28 year old on Broadway in 2002 doing what he does now? Now I want him to do a song from Hairspray on Glee!!!
There is so much to say about tonight’s Glee on Fox at 9p, but the first thing I will say about it is that it is a truly wonderful episode that will leave you feeling really good!!! Tonight’s episode has so much heart, that it will break your heart and then be fill it with warmth. You are going to see a whole new side to some of the characters on the show and you will never be able to look at them the same way! And most importantly the music is really good tonight, they sing Billy Idol’s Dancing with Myself, Wicked’s Defying Gravity and Ike and Tina Turner’s Proud Mary!
Tonight’s episode deals with the Glee club members learning what Artie goes through by being confined to his Wheels and it is was really well written and handled with care. But that is not the only touching story on tonight’s episode, Kurt and his dad have some beyond touching scenes together that will have you screaming for Mike O’Malley to get an Emmy for his performance. But the one story you won’t see coming is the one with Sue Sylvester and you will see her in a completely different light. As touching as tonight’s episode is, it will not make you cry, but believe me it will touch all of your heartstrings.
Part of the reason why I am so vague on this review because it really is an episode you need to experience because it is just that awesome! This is what TV should be. So if you have never seen Glee before tonight on Fox at 9p, tonight’s is really good one to start with it. If you have seen this show before, tonight will confirm why you have been watching it all along. I hope the other networks are watching Glee and looking to copy its model for next year because we need more shows like it on TV!!!
