Do you still need a Halloween costume for this year? CBS’s newest hit Ghosts got you covered. Well, actually they don’t have Asher Grodman’s legs covered, and he wants you to dress as his character Trevor. Basically, as he says, “All you gotta do, is take off your pants. It is the same outfit you have worn to every single work Zoom meeting you have ever had.”
The actor wants to see what you come up with. However, he wants you to send it to his co-star Brandon Scott Jones on Instagram and Twitter. So drop your draws, snap a photo and send them his way! And mine too because I like a man with nice thighs!
If ever there was a series that deserved a Halloween episode in this decade, it is Ghosts. Tonight at 9p on CBS, they are getting that episode!
Since it is Samantha (Rose McIver) and Jay’s (Utkarsh Ambudkar) first Halloween in their haunted 300-year-old house, they think that their roommates, aka the Ghosts, would love to celebrate it too. They are wrong.
Hetty (Rebecca Wisocky), Isaac (Brandon Scott Jones), Peter (Richie Moriarty), Trevor (Asher Grodman), Sasappis (Roman Zaragoza), and Thorfinn (Devan Chandler Long) all explain to Samantha that they hate the holiday. If you think about it, us, livings, have given them a bad reputation. So it makes sense. I mean, their take on Ghostbusters will totally change your perspective of the movie.
But I have to get back to the episode. The Ghosts do a really bad thing. Will they fess up to what they did, or will they blame someone else? I mean, they are ghosts, so they can get away with a lot of things. You just have to tune in to see who is their moral compass.
Be prepared for another episode of the show that is a treat to watch every week. You don’t need Halloween candy this year because this series is sweet enough.
Seriously, I can’t remember the last time I loved a sitcom as much as I love Ghosts. And I watch almost all of the ones on broadcast TV.
The chemistry between this cast is some of the best on any TV show. You can tell they have become friends for life and the afterlife. You know because it is a show about Ghosts.
Ghosts will not be making like a ghost anytime soon because CBS picked up the sitcom for a full season today. So what are we going to do to celebrate? Let’s all have a dinner party at 9p! Well, not everyone is invited, and that is going to cause a lot of tension in the house. But I am getting ahead of myself.
Samantha (Rose McIver) and her husband, Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar), meet their living neighbors tonight. Henry and Margaret (Mark Linn-Baker and Kathryn Greenwood) stop by to introduce themselves and let the couple know that they are on the committee that will decide if they can get a permit to turn their mansion into a bed and breakfast. When Henry says that he won’t be approving their permit, Samantha invites them over for dinner.
When the Ghosts hear that the livings are going to have a dinner party, they get really excited. Therefore, they want to go because it is one of the things they live, I mean die, for. However, Samantha tells them that they are not invited. What happens when she tells them that they can’t come?
Do you think that Hetty (Rebecca Wisocky), Isaac (Brandon Scott Jones), Pete (Richie Moriarty), Trevor (Asher Grodman), Flower (Sheila Carrasco), Alberta (Danielle Pinnock), and Thorfinn (Devan Chandler Long) are going to take no for an answer? They are not. How badly will they screw things up for Samantha and Jay?
I can’t tell you that. What I can tell you is that I smiled when the episode ended because it genuinely made me happy. There is just something so delightful about this series that it always leaves me smiling. How many other shows can you say that about these days?
With all of the negativity out there, we need something positive. That is what you get with Ghosts. If a program could be huggable, then this would be it.
Each episode is full of plenty of cute jokes, sweet interactions, and joy. Every actor is endearing, even the Viking. The only negative thing I can say about it is that 30 minutes is not enough time for each episode.
So if you want to watch something that makes you feel good, then Ghosts is for you and your whole family. Watch it tonight and every Thursday at 9p on CBS.
After a year and a half of unhappiness due to COVID-19, we are ready to laugh again. Ghosts on CBS Thursdays at 9p is helping us do that.
In case you missed last week’s season premiere, here is a recap. Samantha (Rose McIver) inherited a 300-year old mansion from a long-lost aunt. She and her husband, Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar), decide to move in and turn it into a bed and breakfast.
However, what they don’t know is that they will be sharing their house with several ghosts. But they will find that out after Samantha falls down the stairs and bangs her head. When she wakes up from her coma, she suddenly has the ability to see ghosts.
When the ghosts find out that a living can see them, they bombard her with questions about what has happened since they died. That is something that will slowly drive Samantha mad, which is a bad thing because she looks mad when she talks to them. You know, since she is the only one who can see them.
The ghosts include her great-great-great-great aunt Hetty (Rebecca Wisocky) from the 1800s, Revolutionary war vet Issac (Brandon Scott Jones),’80s Boy Scout leader Pete (Richie Moriarty), turn of the century stockbroker Trevor (Asher Grodman), ’60s flower child Flower (Sheila Carrasco), ’20s Jazz singer Alberta (Danielle Pinnock), Native American Sasappis (Roman Zaragoza), and Viking Thorfinn (Devan Chandler Long).
On tonight’s episode, some of the construction people working on the house find Thorfinn’s bones. Samantha and Jay decide to sell them to the highest bidder so that they will have the money for the renovations which are needed. However, the ghosts want to properly dispose of Thorfinn’s bones to see if that will help him get sucked up to heaven.
Thorfinn is also ready to move on. You can’t blame him because he has been stuck on earth for hundreds of years. Samantha is stuck in the middle. What will she decide to do?
Besides having to deal with Thorfinn, Samantha has to deal with all of them asking her a million and one questions. They all want to know things about what has happened since they died.
On top of all of that, Jay is still trying to comprehend that they live with ghosts and everything that comes with renovating a 300-year-old mansion.
It is a lot for all of them. So what do we get? We get a lot of laughs and enjoy a show that is as much as fun to watch as it looks to make.
I believe that the chemistry a cast has really helps to make a show a success. You can tell that this cast has chemistry, so I think it will be a huge hit. That and I want it to be one because I absolutely adore it that is full of adorableness.
So make sure to tune in tonight for a show that you will instantly fall in love with at first sight.
After 18 months of uncertainty, depression, and craziness, we need something that makes us happy when we watch it every week. We get that with CBS’s Ghosts that airs every Thursday at 9p.

Anyways, Samantha (McIver) and her husband, Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar), inherit a 300-year-old mansion from a long-lost relative. It is just a little bigger than their NYC 5th floor walk-up. Who am I kidding? It is a sh!tload bigger. It turns out that is a good thing because they won’t be living in it alone. That is because there are several Ghosts who also call it home, including a great-great-great-aunt. I think I got the number of greats right.
Back to the story, Samantha and Jay drive up their new home to see what it looks like and decide if they want to convert it into a bed and breakfast. While he would prefer to stay in the city, she wants to call her family home, home. Who wouldn’t want to claim this mansion as their own, especially because it is free?
Well, there are few people who don’t want them to move in, and that is the current inhabitants because they like their eternal home just the way it is without any mortals walking through them. It hurts when they do that.
Therefore, they come up with a plan to scare the couple out of there. Since they are new to haunting, it doesn’t go too well. Trevor (Asher Grodman), who can move things, knocks a vase over by the steps. Samantha doesn’t see it, trips over it, and falls down the stairs. She doesn’t die, but she comes so close to it that she gets to see the dead.
Who are these dead people she sees? First, there is her great-great-great-aunt, Hetty (Rebecca Wisocky), who is from the 1800s. She is set in her ways and doesn’t want anything to change in her beloved home. Issac (Brandon Scott Jones) is from colonial America, and he thinks he is the leader of the group. He also thinks he is more famous than his arch-nemesis Alexander Hamilton. He wasn’t. Pete is a scout leader from the ’80s who met his fate with an arrow through the neck. He is good at leading this troop of undead. Thorfinn (Richie Moriarty) has been there the longest because he is a Viking and still lives as he did back in his day. The next oldest ghost is Sasappis (Román Zaragoza), who is Native American. Alberta (Danielle Pinnock) is a Jazz singer from the Roaring ’20s, and she believes she was murdered. Unlike Flower (Sheila Carrasco), whose death was too much to bear because she was killed by one in the ’60s. Finally, there is Trevor (Grodman), who is a self-involved stockbroker from the ’90s.
Together they are a family, and now they have two new members, one who is a living and can see them and the other one cannot. While Samantha’s ability is a dream come true for them. It is a nightmare for her.
Will they all be to find a way to live together? We will just have tune in every week to find out.
And you are going to want to tune in because this is a joyful show. You feel happy watching the series because there is an innocence to it. It is not depressing, not angry, it is just sweet.
They are an unlikely family and it works. Mostly because you can tell that all of the actors genuinely like each other. It is obvious they enjoy going to work, and we will enjoy watching them work.
We need more shows like Ghosts, so watch it. I need a break from all the seriousness, and this gives me just that. So check it out because if I have to watch another intense comedy, I will scream. And not because I saw a ghost. I need to put my head on my pillow with a smile on my face, and Ghosts does just that. Who doesn’t want that?
