It is the year 2149, there is a population limit of two children, you can’t breath the air, fresh fruit is an rarity and there is no sunshine anymore. So if given the opportunity to have as many kids as you want, breathe fresh air, eat fresh fruit and see sunlight, you would jump at the chance even if it meant going back 85 million years. Well that is what the new inhabitants of Terra Nova have done. The new utopia might not be as perfect at it seems because 85 million years ago there were dinosaurs walking the earth and they are not exactly welcoming of the new residences.
The people of 2149 now have to figure out a way to survive in their new time and protect their old one because the butterfly effect works both ways. Will they be able to find a way to change the future as they are stuck in the past? Tune in to Fox tonight at 8p for the most ambitious series even to roar on to television, and they succeed with their ambition. Besides the illusion of going back in time, Terra Nova gives us an adventure that will keep our interest for 85 million years at least!
The season premiere of Fringe is on Fox tonight at 9p and it picks up where the season finale left off. We find out what the show will be like without Peter Bishop, but does that mean he is gone? In tonight’s episode you will find out how the world has changed without Walter/nate’s son and it is all really interesting. I don’t want to tell you any more because Fringe is a show you need to experience and watch so we can keep it on the air!!!
Tonight on Fox at 9p Zooey Deschanel is the New Girl on TV and she fits in as well on the small screen as she does with her new roommates on the show.
Zooey plays Jess who finds out her live in boyfriend is cheating on her, so she needs a new place to live. When an ad for a roommate misrepresents the inhabitants, she finds herself living with 4 guys. They will try to get her life back on track as she will try to do the same. New Girl has a definite target audience and they are going to love this hipster comedy.
If you are like me and you are wondering when the hell is Gordon Ramsey going to fire Elise already on Hell’s Kitchen, well he hinted on Twitter when that might be. After having a lot of people asking him why she is still on the show after no one was eliminated on yesterday’s episode on Fox, he Tweeeted back to one of his followers “Ok I promise Elise doesn’t win #HellsKitchen but she can cook !!!!!!” While I am relieved that she doesn’t win, I kind of wanted to be surprised when she finally got kicked out of Hell’s Kitchen. Fox hasn’t posted the preview for next week’s episode, but it looks like it might be next Monday at 9p because the ad is all about her.
I assumed he was keeping her on the show because she is good TV, but after the third week I think her tantrums and bitchiness got old fast. Please Gordon keep to your promise and make sure she doesn’t win because if she does I will keep my promise (that I am making now) to give up Hell’s Kitchen, Kitchen Nightmares and MasterChef!!!
Seriously does anyone like Elise?
UPDATE: Here is the promo for next week’s episode that’s all about Elise!
Breaking In debuted in April to good numbers on Fox and then in May they announced that the show wasn’t on their schedule. Then they said they would give the show one more shot and try it out without American Idol as a lead in and decide about the show’s fate then. Well we didn’t hear anything until the TCAs earlier this month where the President of Fox Entertainment said they were still looking for a way to bring it back in their upcoming 2-hour comedy block in the spring. Then there were rumors yesterday that even though the new season hasn’t started that Fox was close to picking it up for a second season and I didn’t want to get my hopes up until it was official. Well I just had a nerdgasm because it is official. That’s right after three attempts Christian Slater finally has a show see what it is like to be renewed and it is his best show so far!!! Even though he finally found the perfect role as Oz, the man that runs Contra Security, he doesn’t do it alone. He does it along with the funny actors Bret Harrison, Alphonso McAuley, Michael Rosenbaum and Odette Annable who all have great chemistry together.
I am so happy that Fox wised up and renewed this smart original comedy for a second season. There is nothing else like it on TV and anyone who is an uber fan of TV and movies will love this show.
Seriously I love little shows that could like Chuck, Family Guy, Jericho and of course Breaking In! Even though they have been cancelled, the love of the fans have given all of those shows another season. When are they going to listen us in the first place…
Congrats to Breaking In for a second season! And Adam F Goldberg, I can’t wait to see what you make Jennifer Irwin do as Creepy Carol because you said she would get a whole lot creepier if the show came back!!!
