I Wanna Marry Harry starts his search tonight |

I Wanna Marry Harry debuts on Fox tonight at 9p and you don’t want to miss Fox’s latest dating reality show with a twist.
A few years ago Fox introduced us to Joe Millionaire, who wasn’t really one. Tonight, they introduce us to a Prince Harry look alike, who is actually looking for love. Only thing is the 12 girls he’s meeting don’t know that Matthew Hicks really isn’t Royality. How will he pull it off? Well, it won’t be that hard with the ones who don’t know who he is. That’s right, there are actually a few women in this world, who don’t know who Britain’s most eligible bachelor is. Now even though they don’t know who he is, that doesn’t mean they aren’t charmed by him.
In fact, all of the women are swept off their feet by him because he knows how to work it. Something, I am sure he picked up when they were educating Hicks about the man he is supposed to be.
So how long can he keep this farce up? We will just have to tune in each week to find out.

About a Boy is about a decision and Riot is a riot! |
May 13th, 2014 under Fox, NBC. [ Comments: none ]

Tonight at 9p, NBC is airing the one hour season finale for About a Boy, and you don’t want to miss this show come full circle.
Sam’s (Adrianne Palicki) building is condemned and she pretty much asks Will (David Walton) if she can move in with him until she finds a new place. At first he thinks it’s a good idea, but when her stuff takes over the place he regrets his decision. While Fiona (Minnie Driver) is talking with her, she finds out that Sam is keeping a secret from Will. Who will tell Will the secret first? And once he finds out what it is, he is going to have a big decision to make that effects everyone including Marcus (Benjamin Stockham). What will he do?
Now, when it comes to the show coming full circle, you don’t want to miss the slower and more touching version of One Directions’ What Makes You Beautiful sung by Will and Fiona. If you loved the version we saw in the pilot than you are going to love love love tonight’s take on it. It needs to be iTunes by the end of the episode.
Also at 9p but over on Fox, Steve Carrell is back on TV with Riot.
I am assuming Riot got its name because it is a laugh riot. So what is Riot, after watching the first episode, I am not even sure. It’s like Whose Line Is It Anyway, with torture. And since I love torture, I love this show.
For example, the first challenge is 3 of the comedians must improvise a scene on a slippery set that is on a 22 degree angel. Sounds easy, but it isn’t and they are constantly falling down and sliding down it. Another challenge has them spelling out a word with their bodies. Yet another one has them being hit by a huge wrecking ball as they try to get their opponent to guess the picture they are describing. Not all the games are painful, but they are all very funny. This is a great show to watch during the summer on Fox!
And did I mention that is the show is a high octane ride, so sit back, buckle up and enjoy the riot!

Fox’s new fall schedule is… |
May 12th, 2014 under Fox. [ Comments: none ]

Fox announced their fall schedule today and missing from it is Glee which will be back at some point during the year. Also American Idol will be back but it will be trimmed by several hours.
Gotham and Sleepy Hollow give the network a very strong Monday, but I think the rest of their lineup is in big trouble. Utopia will only air for 6 weeks, but if it fails I think it will have a big impact on the network.
When it comes to the rest of the new shows, I will hold judgement until Fox releases the trailers for them. Descriptions can sound amazing, but then you watch the trailer and it doesn’t look as good as it sounded.
Here is Fox’s Fall Schedule:
MONDAY
8:00-9:00 PM GOTHAM (new)
9:00-10:00 PM SLEEPY HOLLOW
TUESDAY
8:00-9:00 PM UTOPIA (new)
9:00-9:30 PM NEW GIRL
9:30-10:00 PM THE MINDY PROJECT
WEDNESDAY
8:00-9:00 PM HELL’S KITCHEN
9:00-10:00 PM RED BAND SOCIETY (new)
THURSDAY
8:00-9:00 PM BONES
9:00-10:00 PM GRACEPOINT (new)
FRIDAY
8:00-9:00 PM MASTERCHEF JUNIOR
9:00-10:00 PM UTOPIA (new)
SUNDAY
7:00-7:30 PM NFL ON FOX
7:30-8:00 PM THE OT / BOB’S BURGERS
8:00-8:30 PM THE SIMPSONS
8:30-9:00 PM BROOKLYN NINE-NINE
9:00-9:30 PM FAMILY GUY
9:30-10:00 PM MULANEY (new)
UPDATE: Now that I have seen the trailers, I have to sat that Gracepoint and Backstrom really have me intrigued. The other ones are not for me. Which trailers peeked your interest?

Fox cancels 3 funny sitcoms and 1 crappy drama, NBC sweet 16 news for SVU |

Fox made my DVR very happy and me very upset because they cancelled Dads, Enlisted and Surviving Jack today according to The Hollywood Reporter. Oh and they also pulled the plug on Rake, but no one cared about that show so it’s barely even worth a mention.
When it comes to the comedies, they made a huge mistake by cancelling all 3. Dads had a core audience and was the only comedy that started in the fall that made me laugh. Plus it really found its groove by the end of the season. Enlisted had a different fan base than Dads, but they were just as loyal to the very funny heartwarming show. That’s because they fought for our country. Finally Surviving Jack was screwed the second they put it on after the dying American Idol. The endearing sitcom never had a chance which is really sad because it deserved one.
But at least Fox still has the gag me with spoon Glee on for another season and that show was barely seen by 2 million people yesterday. How low can they go?
The television news wasn’t all awful today, NBC was smart enough to renew Law & Order: SVU for a 16th season. I wonder whose happier, the fans of the show or the networks that air the repeats on an endless loop all day long? I’ll go with the latter.

Gotham starts the new TV season off with a bang! |
May 5th, 2014 under Fox. [ Comments: none ]

We are still a week away from finding out what broadcast shows are renewed, cancelled and coming to our TVs in the fall, but that didn’t stop Fox from announcing today that Gotham will be one of the new shows we will get to see next season.
Here is how Fox described their next big hit:
Based upon characters published by DC Entertainment and produced by Warner Bros. Television, GOTHAM is an origin story of the great DC Comics Super-Villains and vigilantes, revealing an entirely new chapter that has never been told. Starring Ben McKenzie (“Southland,†“The O.C.â€), Donal Logue (“Sons of Anarchy,†“Terriers,†“Vikings,†“Copperâ€) and Jada Pinkett Smith (“The Matrix†films, “HawthoRNeâ€), GOTHAM follows one cop’s rise through a dangerously corrupt city teetering on the edge of evil and chronicles the birth of one of the most popular super heroes of our time.
I say big hit because, let’s be real, after watching that trailer; the chance of this show failing are very little. Isn’t that what I said about SHIELD a year ago??? Oh, but I am still going to be hopeful about this one!
