The Tarantino Archives got some major exclusives from the Inglourious Basterds set and one of them is the artwork for the film within the film, Stolz der Nation aka Pride of the Nation!
Stolz der Nation which stars Fredrick Zoller, a German sniper, played by Daniel Brühl. This movie within the movie was of directed by Eli Roth, who pulled all sorts of filmmaking tricks on this little movie.
If that artwork is any hint how amazing Pride of the Nation is going to be, I so can't wait to see it! Plus I always love and admire anything that Eli Roth directs!!!
BTW is it wrong for me to think that Daniel Brühl makes a cute Nazi? There just seems like there should be something wrong with that…
Last night Brad Pitt premiered his critically acclaimed movie The Curious Case of Benjamin Button in Berlin where he is currently filming Inglourious Basterds. Some of the Basterds (Eli Roth, Til Schweiger and producer Lawrence Bender) ran straight from the set to support their Lieutenant!!! Eli, Til and Brad all look great in the modern day street clothes, but I can’t wait to see them in their WWII military uniforms on August 21st!!!
Today is the last day of 2008, and before the year comes to a close The Weinstein Company announced a release date for the movie I am most excited for 2009. Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds with Brad Pitt will make its way to the big screen on August 21st and I can’t wait to see the talented Eli Roth as The Bear Jew striking out Nazis with a baseball bat!!! Plus there is a rumor that Eli Roth is also directing a Nazi propaganda film within the movie!
Seriously I am so excited for this movie, that I predict I will not be alone with my excitement and the WWII epic will be dominating all the Awards shows around this time next year. As excited as I am that the movie has a release date, I hate having to wait to 8 months to see it…:(
How popular is Quentin Taratino’s Inglourious Basterds in Berlin? Well considering over 3,000 people lined to be extras in the movie and to have the chance to work with Brad Pitt and Eli Roth, I would say it is really popular. I so can’t wait to see the epic Inglourious Basterds when it comes out next year!!!
Looks like Quentin Taratino is letting his BFF Eli Roth aka The Bear Jew go from in front of the camera in Inglourious Basterds to behind it for a film within the film called Nation’s Pride. According to The Quentin Tarantino Archives, Eli is a “guest director for the “film within the filmâ€Â, which stars Daniel Brühl as a Nazi sniper and GIs on a suicide mission.” The little tidbit was realized when someone realized that QT was not at the shoot above, and it was revealed that Eli was. After staring at my computer screen for hours trying to see if I could see The Bear Jew with his military haircut (because he looks so cute with his new do and I wanted to see him with it in plain clothes!) in the fan video, alas I discovered I could not find him. Oh well, soon enough we will see it all when Inglourious Basterds comes out next year! I so can’t wait for this movie!
