Melissa Gilbert and her husband Bruce Boxleitner have called it quits after 16 years of marriage. No reason was given for the split, but they released this statement to People “We have loved each other for a very long time and we share four incredible sons together. On behalf of our family we ask to be allowed our privacy during this very difficult time.”
The Little House on the Prairie actress and the Tron actor have a 15 year old son together, Michael who was named after the late Michael Landon.

They added that they had been working on details of their split for a while, but have decided for an amicable divorce to protect their 15 year old daughter. Just a few weeks after celebrating their 40th anniversary, Tipper and Al Gore are ending their marriage. According to Politico the two of them announced their split to their friends in an e-mail.
