Earlier this week ABC announced that it had picked several of their shows for next season, but missing from the list was Desperate Housewives. And now we might know why because Bloomberg is reporting that Eva Longoria, Felicity Huffman and Marcia Cross are holding out for money. They added that only Teri Hatcher has signed a new deal with the show.
Bloomberg reported it is rumored the women make $400,000 an episode and if they shoot the season minimum of 22 episodes that is $8,800,000 a piece. Which I guess is not good enough for them? Why anyone needs that much money a year is beyond me, but what do I know I will never get that much money.
I say to ABC cancel the show, it hasn’t been good in years. Either that or kill off one of them and show them who is boss?
Desperate Housewives in its 7th season and Daily Mail is reporting that two of the original Housewives might not be around for the 9th season. The British tabloid is saying that Teri Hatcher and Felicity Huffman are planning on leaving the show after next season. “Teri has given in her notice and is making active preparations to move on,” says a TV insider. “She has another production deal in the pipeline and she is in the early stages of developing a sitcom that she wants to start work on immediately after she finishes Desperate Housewives – she wants a new show in time for the mid-January pilot season.” The article did not say what Felicity would do, but maybe her husband William H Macy and her could do something together.
Personally this show has been over for years, so if their departure means the end of it then let it be. I won’t miss wasting an hour of my time every week wishing and hoping the show could recapture what it was during its first season.

I have never said nor inferred otherwise. They made no effort to contact me or my representatives or the network to fact check. I am awaiting a retraction and apology at the least for mucking up everyone’s Sunday with this huge, hurtful lie. I will say it again, I love DH, the cast and crew are like family and I am with it till its cancelled.
Vanessa Williams and the writers have brought a new energy to the show this year and I expect and hope it can continue on for a long time. I meet many people who still find so much joy in watching it and I want everyone to know I’m joyful to be involved to this day and that’s not going to change.

Last Christmas, Eva Longoria and her soon-to-be-ex-husband Tony Parker released a music video with their friends to Grease’s Summer Nights. Well two of those friends in the spoof are the also reportedly divorcing Erin and Brent Barry. In fact at 1:33 you will see Erin, who is playing Rizzo, kick a girl on the bench so hard that leads to the divorcing Desperate Housewife to fall on to the trash. Looks like it was a premonition of what was to come. Plus in Grease Sandy was portrayed as the innocent one and Rizzo was seem as the slut…major ouch!!!
Eva Longoria has filed for divorce from her husband of three years Tony Parker. The actress confirmed her news on Twitter by Tweeting, “It is with great sadness that after 7 years together, Tony and I have decided to divorce. We love each other deeply and pray for each other’s happiness.”
She confirmed to her BFF Mario Lopez on Extra the Us Weekly story was true by saying, “she found hundreds of text messages from another woman on Parker’s phone, who turned out to be the wife of one of the NBA player’s teammates.” She also told him that Tony did cheat on her earlier in their marriage and continued communicating with that woman on Facebook. This is reportedly not the first time a husband has cheated on her, there were rumors her first husband Tyler Christopher cheated on her with one of his General Hospital co-stars.
According to People, she is seeking spousal support. I guess you can say the ball is now in her court…divorce court!

UPDATE: ESPN’s Bryan Graham Tweeted that a source told him who the woman is that Tony is rumored to have had an affair with him, “Have it on good authority from entertainment sources that “former teammate” in Tony Parker-Eva Longoria affair is Brent Barry. Don’t have much else on Parker/Longoria affair. Source did mention Barry and wife are going through a divorce.” Her name is Erin and here is a picture of her with her soon-to-be-ex-husband, she kind of looks a little like the Desperate Housewife in that picture.
Katy Perry was performing at the MTV EMAs and for some reason she grabbed the host’s a$$ and I have to wonder if Eva Longoria and her have something to tell us? Even though the Desperate Housewife has been married for three years and the California Gurl has been married for about three weeks, I am sure they both fulfilled their husbands, Tony Parker and Russell Brand’s Teenage Dream. Not only their lovers but also several other men’s too!
