Tears of a Desperate Clown
October 4th, 2011 under Desperate Housewives. [ Comments: 1 ]

The gorgeous Felicity Huffman Tweeted the above picture and said “Happy Halloween – taking off my make-up at the end of the day. Have a good night.” When I saw that picture, it for some reason reminded me of the Smokey Robinson classic song Tears of a Clown. Doesn’t it have that feel? Not that she is sad, it is just her mascara running all over her makeup remover.
Even with cream all over face and black eyeliner smudged all over her eyes, she still looks so pretty. Can I tell you when I saw her in person, I was shocked by how much the camera hates her. She is so much more beautiful in real life. There are very actresses I can say that about and she is one of them.

Board Pan Am tonight!
September 25th, 2011 under ABC, Desperate Housewives. [ Comments: none ]

Tonight on ABC at 10p Pan Am takes its inaugural flight and you are going to want to be on board when this show takes off. There was a time that people dressed up to fly and flying was special and this show takes place in that era.
Stewardesses enjoyed their job as they created an atmosphere of making everyone feel special and Christina Ricci is the lead one. Pan Am tells the stories of the flight attendants and the pilots of Pan Am in the early ’60s and after you watch this period show, you will never fly the same way you used to!
It is a beautifully shot series that tells an original story and we need more dramas like that on TV!
Before you board Pan Am, Desperate Housewives begins its final season and the show starts off weeks after last season’s cliffhanger and not all the women on Wisteria Lane are handling it the same way. Tune in to see how Bree, Lynette, Susan and Gabby deal with covering up a murder.

Is George Lopez begging for work?
September 12th, 2011 under Desperate Housewives, George Lopez. [ Comments: none ]

George Lopez is an out of work actor and talk show host, and looks like he is not above begging for his next job. He was pictured on his knees, clasping on to Eva Longoria’s dress as she walked on by him. But before you think he is asking for her a job, he was just trying to catch up to his Alma Awards co-host. Although I prefer to think that he was imploring with her to get him a job on the final season of Desperate Housewives.
BTW you can see the two of them host the show this Friday on NBC.

Marc Cherry confirms he has only spoken to half the cast about Desperate Housewives ending
August 7th, 2011 under Desperate Housewives. [ Comments: none ]

(photo from ABC)

Today is the ABC TCA Summer Press Tour Day and Marc Cherry confirmed that this will be the last season of Desperate Housewives. He told us the decision to say goodbye to Wisteria Lane has been a year in the making. When he first met the new head of ABC a year ago for lunch, he then started discussing the end of the show and said he wanted to end it on a high note. Whether that meant season 8 or season 9 he wasn’t sure. Together the two of them came to decision to end it now and not letting it limp off of TV like so many other shows.
When asked about the reaction from the cast, he told us he had just started talking to the cast about it on Friday and he has only spoken to half of them about the show ending this season. So in other words most of them finding out via the press and not him even though he has known about it.
Even though he has not spoken to everyone, he did share with us what he told Eva Longoria when he was asked if there will be a spinoff to the show. He told her he wants to put her in a van and have her solve mysteries. Paul Lee, ABC’s Entertainment President said he was sold on the idea.
Although he is sold on the idea, Cherry says he doesn’t want to repeat himself and that there will be no spinoff to the show. You know like on his first show The Golden Girls that became Golden Palace.
Now back to the final season of the show. Cherry says the show will go back to its roots with Mary Alice. But ABC described something different in a press release that went out this morning. They said “For Season Eight, Carlos’s murder of Gaby’s evil stepfather and the cover up by Susan, Gaby, Bree and Lynette has far reaching effects. Feelings of guilt begin to overcome everyone in different ways. Susan starts to withdraw from her friends and family, and Gaby works to reach out to Carlos while his guilt weighs heavily upon him. As Lynette and Tom are grappling with their disintegrating marriage and impending separation, Lynette is having trouble making the right choices ever since she participated in the cover-up. And Bree must be especially careful around her new love, Detective Chuck Vance. Meanwhile a new sexy neighbor moves to town, Ben Faulkner, and he’s Renee’s first order of business.”
Are you looking forward to the end of Desperate Housewives?

UPDATE: Eva Longoria Tweeted about the show coming to end and said, “It’s confirmed! We are filming our last season of Desperate Housewives! I am so grateful for what the show has given me! We always knew we wanted to end on top and I thank ABC for giving us our victory lap! And a special thanks to Marc Cherry who forever changed my life! #DesperateHousewives”

UPDATE 2: Here is the final season preview that they showed at the ABC TCA Summer Press Tour Day. A lot of good memories in nearly two minutes of clips!
