For the second time in three shows David Letterman addressed his blackmail/sex scandal on his show, but tonight he apologized to his wife and staff for his actions. I was wondering when that was coming, because he didn’t specify her personally when he broke the news on Thursday. He just said that this has been tough on his family and out of all the people this has to be tough on the most it would be the woman who might’ve learned for the first time he wasn’t faithful to her the whole time they dated. I really feel for her.
I also really for his audience because seriously how awkward and uneasy it must be for them to watch him admit all this stuff in person. Imagine you are all excited to go see The Late Show because you think it is funny and you have a man talk about being blackmailed and admitting he has slept with his co-workers. Yuck.
Too bad for CBS this didn’t happen during November Sweeps.

Good to see that even though Jay Leno and David Letterman shows are no longer in direct competition, that they still hate each other. Last night Jay Leno took some time out his monologue to diss Letterman about his personal life, and you know what it was actually really funny. I think we learned from that even though Leno is on during an earlier timeslot that doesn’t mean he going to be any nicer and will go there even it is too soon!
David Letterman said on his show that he was being blackmailed for $2 million by a guy who had proof that Letterman had sex with female co-workers and he was planning on writing a screenplay and book about the trysts. According to CBS News it was one of their own was arrested for the alleged crime, Joe Halderman, a man who has worked as a producer for 48 Hours for over 20 years. You would think a guy who worked for a news magazine would have been a lot smarter before trying to commit blackmail like that? I guess greed took over? I mean the guy really has balls because according to Letterman he actually went with him to his lawyer to discuss a money amount. I have never blackmailed anyone, but you would think you would want to avoid the lawyers because they know the law well enough to get you arrested. I mean we all know blackmail is illegal especially at that amount.
Now when it comes to Letterman, it should not be such a big surprise that he sleeps with his co-workers because afterall his wife worked for him when they started their relationship. Now it is just the question of when he had sex with these women that the guy was allegedly blackmailing him about. It will be interesting to hear what his wife has to say about, but I doubt she will be talking anytime soon.

Kevin Spacey was on David Letterman last night and he was trying to teach him about Twitter and let’s just it didn’t go very well. David Letterman actually thought you have to pay to be on Twitter. I just don’t get why only one of the late night hosts actually uses Twitter and the rest of them haven’t figured it out yet…including Jimmy Kimmel. Seriously Twitter is such a great way for them to get the word out about what guests they have on that night or they can preview some of the funny things they have coming up on the show. But I might be biased because I am Twitteraholic.
Now back to the interview, I love the ending when Kevin Spacey tells how he was put in his place because his followers told him not to be mean to John Stamos. John Stamos is too hot not to be nice too!!!
Katherine Heigl was on David Letterman last night and she made sure to take the time to complain about Grey’s Anatomy again. She was whining about coming back to work on Wedenesday and having to work a 17 hour day. Now I can understand complaining about that, but maybe they had to schedule her for such a day so she could take time off to promote her latest bad acting job in a movie. If she is so miserable there, then why doesn’t she quit instead of saying she wants re-sign her contract when it ends in 2 years? I wouldn’t miss her on the show.
If I were the people on Grey’s, that she loves to publicly complain about, I would make her shave her instead of wearing a bald cap. Especially since the darker locks make her look like she is 30 going on 55. She is like the oldest looking 30ish actress in Hollywood, she even makes Katie Holmes look young.
Now back to her on Dave, could her fake laugh be any more annoying?
