Mick Jagger made his first appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman yesterday and he revealed the Top 10 things he learned from his half century of rockin’ with The Rolling Stones. Some of them gave me Satisfaction, but others left me saying You Can’t Always Get What You Want like a laugh.
But the thing I loved most is just how cute he looked when he read the good ones. He looked a little boy who got away with saying bad and was enjoying everyone laughing at what said! He has such an adorable devilish way about him!
Dustin Hoffman was a guest on The Late Show and he told David Letterman that he was worthy of receiving his Kennedy Center Honor this past Sunday. The CBS late night host was so touched by his words that he kissed him right smack on the lips!
Now I understand that display of affection, but I don’t get why Tootsie did the same thing to One Direction’s Niall Horan. Although I am sure there were a lot of people wishing they could be the Focker for that one moment.
BTW who knew that The Late Show was all about kissing and telling? I just thought it was all about telling.
I don’t know what happened between Bill Murray and David Letterman, but the CBS late night host went to extreme measures to get Ghostbuster on The Late Show tonight. Carl Spackler knows how to make an entrance, and boy did he make one tonight. That’s because when he was dropped off the chauffeurs didn’t open the back door to let him out, instead they opened the trunk to reveal Murray lying there handcuffed with a bag over his head. Once he was free, they tasered him to make sure he would be on the show and it worked.
Hopefully the next time that Joaquin Phoenix is on the show, Letterman will use this technique again…
Over the weekend Led Zeppelin and David Letterman were honored by the Kennedy Center Honors and yesterday the CBS late night host had the band on The Late Show. Letterman asked them about their legendary days and it is just so f*cking awesome to hear Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones’ rock tales. Whether you are a fan or not, you know you know you want to hear what the Rock Gds have to say! Seriously wow!
Then at the end of interview Letterman asked them if he could join the band and their response made me love them even more!
Amy Poehler was on The Late Show tonight and she told David Letterman something cute her son Oscar said to her. The Parks and Recreation star was getting dressed and Archie consoled her by saying “Mom, I am so sorry you don’t have a penis.” But it didn’t stop there because then the toddler added, “But did you have one and break it.” That’s when she told Dave that was her son’s way of finding out if she had one would she be good at taking care of it. The CBS host was quick on his feet to say, “I’ve heard you take good care of them.” After a brief pause he smugly put his hand to his tie and added, “Believe me, I think we all heard.” I can’t tell if Amy thought it was funny or was insulted by his joke? What do you think?
