Brian Williams was a guest on The Late Show yesterday and he tried to tell a joke but failed miserably. So David Letterman told him they would edit that out and the newsman could try it again. Once again, it didn’t work. So you know the saying, “If at first you don’t succeed, Try, try, try again.” Well is the third time a charm for him? You just have to watch as a serious newsman unintentionally finds himself in a very funny situation.

We have seen how celebrities act to being asked stupid questions, and now thanks to The Late Show with David Letterman we get to see how they react to crappy Christmas presents. Let’s just say it is the same way you and I do, but a little more dramatic! Who am I kidding, a whole lot more dramatic!

John McEnroe was as well known for being a tennis player as losing his temper on the court. Well yesterday on The Late Show, David Letterman brought him in to hit the meatball off of his Christmas tree. After several unsuccessful serves, he tried to throw balls and his racket at the tree. Still that mighty meatball remained. But then when he threw one of his temper tantrums and his racket at the meaty topper, down it went. So the morale of his story, is at least he still has his anger! Although it is much more controlled these days.

It is that time of year for David Letterman to become a big kid on The Late Show and yesterday’s New Holiday Toys segment did not disappoint. At first he got to play with a cool car and then a lame powered by air toy, but then things started getting good when he was asked to try the Barbie Digital Makeover Mirror. That’s right the CBS late night host got a much needed doll makeover and he never looked so pretty! Once we got our jollies, it was time for him to get his jollies while riding a dirt quad and a zip line across the stage into a Christmas tree. Let’s just say there were crashes, but no one but him was injured in the process. Christmas is such a joyous time of year!

Barbara Walters read a specifically written Top 10 for her on The Late Show with David Letterman yesterday and who knew the serious news lady was so funny.
Top Ten Questions Never Before Asked by Barbara Walters starts off slow, but once she asks, “Anyone got a job for me?” things start to pick up. Then when she wants to know what Miley Cyrus has that she doesn’t, and you will quickly find out the answer to that one. Which brings us to a #1 on the list that is hilarious, but it might take you a second or two to get it. At least it took me a few seconds and once I got it I couldn’t stop laughing.
If this was the Barbara Walters we knew on The View, then maybe she wouldn’t be retiring from it.
