ENTERTAINER David Hasselhoff has proved the least popular celebrity date this Valentine’s Day, receiving no votes from 5000 Australians polled in an online survey. The survey, conducted by accommodation website Wotif.com asked people who they would most like to take on a romantic Valentine’s Day getaway. The top response was their partner, with other popular responses being Desperate Housewife Eva Longoria, tennis player Maria Sharapova and actors Johnny Depp and Daniel Craig. But not one person chose the former
Knight Rider and Baywatch star who is now a cult figure after a recent Hoffmania campaign in which email inboxes and television and radio shows were bombarded with jokes promoting “the Hoff”. He was even pipped by the Seven Network’s Sunrise presenter David Koch, “The guy from (TV game show) Deal or No Deal” (Andrew O’Keefe), and “The guy on the train in the morning”, who each received one per cent of the vote.

Rock Star: Supernova host Brooke Burke and her fiancé, former Baywatch star David Charvet, welcomed their first child on Monday at St. John’s hospital in Santa Monica, California, Us Weekly has learned. Daughter Heaven Rain Charvet is 6 pounds, 8 ounces, and 18 3/4 inches long. "Mother and baby are doing very well and are now resting comfortably at home," Burke’s rep tells Us. "Everything went well with the delivery, and Rain looks just like her mother." According to a source, Burke, 35, and Charvet, 34, chose the name because "rain grows everything." "She’s an amazing baby," says the source. "She almost never cries. She’s very quiet." The couple, who have been friends for several years, began dating in 2005 and became engaged in August of 2006. The new parents plan to marry this spring. Charvet tells Us, "I am the happiest man alive!" Burke, who also hosted E!’s popular travel show Wild On, was previously married to Extreme Makeover plastic surgeon Garth Fisher, with whom she has two daughters, Neriah, 6, and Sierra Sky, 4.

WTF type of name is that? Seriously you can’t just randomly pick two things from nature and name your kid after them. Because how do Heaven and Rain go in a positive way? Granted in one my college classes we learned a Greek myth that when Heaven Rained down on earth it meant that well Heaven was done with Earth you know like in the Bibical way…so since that is how she was created maybe it wasn’t a bad thing.

The star agreed to let E! Entertainment cameras follow kids Taylor Ann, 16, and Hayley, 14, while he’s treading the boards as Franz Liebkind in Mel Brooks’ hit musical comedy – after hearing American Idol host Ryan Seacrest would be producing the series.

Seriously have they run out of ideas for reality shows? Why would anyone want to watch that?

David Hasselhoff and Mel Brooks at the casting announcement. photo by Aubrey Reuben David Hasselhoff will go from hunk to high camp in January 2007 when he plays flamboyant musical comedy director Roger DeBris in the Las Vegas premiere of Mel Brooks’ The Producers. The unlikely casting — the star of TV’s "Baywatch" and "Knight Rider" will don William Ivey Long’s delicious drag costumes, including a spangled gown that makes Roger look like the Chrysler Building — was announced Nov. 2 by composer-lyricist and co-librettist Mel Brooks and Paris Las Vegas, the resort where the musical will begin performances Jan. 31, 2007. Brad Oscar will play Max Bialystock in Vegas, as he did to acclaim on Broadway, on tour and in London’s West End. Additional casting for the open-ended Las Vegas run will be announced shortly. The musical opened in 2001 to raves, and was the recipient of the most Tony Awards in Broadway History (12, including Best Musical). Based on Mel Brooks’ Academy Award-winning 1968 film of the same name, the show tells the story of down-on-his-luck theatrical producer Max Bialystock and Leo Bloom, a mousy accountant. Together, with the help of their flamboyant director, Roger DeBris (Hasselhoff), they hatch the ultimate scam: raise more money than you need for a sure-fire Broadway flop and pocket the difference. Their theatrical fiasco is the musical Springtime for Hitler. "I’m overjoyed that David Hasselhoff is going to play Roger DeBris in the Las Vegas production of The Producers," Mel Brooks said in a statement. "He has an incredible comedic timing, terrific musical theatre experience and a stage presence that I think will be a perfect marriage with the role. And by the way, he has great legs for that dress."

I thought he was doing Celebrity Big Brother? And there is no way you could drag me to see him do that.

David Hasselhoff has threatened to chop off his daughter’s boyfriend’s penis. The actor – who has two daughters, 16-year-old Taylor Ann and Hayley, 14 – is very protective of his children and has warned prospective boyfriends to be on their best behaviour with his girls. Hasselhoff told Elle magazine: "My oldest daughter is dating an older boy, so I said to her, ‘You’re only 16. There’s plenty of time to have sex and fall in love.’ To him, I said, ‘If you hurt my daughter in any way, I will take you outside and I will cut your thing off. I will have no problem spending the rest of my life in prison.’" The former ‘Baywatch’ actor also says he wears cartoon hats to disguise himself when he is out in public. David said: "I sometimes wear a Goofy hat from Disney, with the Goofy ears and stuff. But then people come up to me and say, ‘Why are you wearing that Goofy hat, Mr Hasselhoff?’"

Isn’t it bad enough that he is their dad, why does he have to pull that crap? Poor girl.
