Yes you read that right, I had to do a double take when I saw the story on TMZ. Hasselhoff went into court with no visitation rights to see his kids after the drunk hamburger video incident, but he walked out with temporary custody of them. According to TMZ, the Judge was shocked by the evidence that the court appointed psychiatrist brought to the court today about Pamela Bach. TMZ said she was abusive to the kids, refused to take a drug test and some other undisclosed reasons as reasons why she lost custody of them. Hasselhoff agreed to be tested for alcohol in order to gain temporary custody of them. Another hearing will be held in two weeks to decide further on their custody and until then they will stay with him. I just feel for the kids for having to go through this.
A Los Angeles Superior Court Judge has suspened David Hasselhoff's visitation rights to see his kids over the tape his daughter filmed according to TMZ. A Judge is evaluating the tape right now and will make a decision on May 21st when Hasselhoff will be allowed to see his kids again.
The Judge also ordered that Pamela Bach and the kids go to see psychologist before the May 21st hearing that will also help in the decision of his longterm visitation rights.
Hasselhoff has said the stress of not seeing his kids is what drove him to drink again, I wonder if the Judge's decision will only make him drink more. I hope it doesn't and he gets the help he needs because that videotape was hard to watch and I am not a fan of his.
David Hasselhoff told his kids that if he ever got drunk again they should videotape it so he can see what he is like drunk and that would be the push he needed to remain sober. Well his 16 year old daughter took him up on his offer as you can see from the video above that was obtained by Entertainment Tonight. The Hoff also had this to say in statement about the video, “I am a recovering alcoholic. Despite that, I have been going through a painful divorce and I have recently been separated from my children due to my work. I have been successfully dealing with my issue. Unfortunately, I did have a brief relapse. Because of my honest and positive relationship with my children, who were concerned for my well-being, there was a tape made when I had a relapse to show me what I was like. I have seen the tape. I have learned from it, and I am back on my game. I thank God for the love and concern from my children. The tape made by my children was never meant to become public, but was obviously released by my estranged wife, who has her own agenda. I hope that someone else will learn form this tape, as I have.”
He needs to stop blaming the divorce for everything and if he was torn up about being away from his kids, why did he get drunk the one chance he got to see them? I just think it is sad that this video was released to the media. I wonder who thought this would be a positive move for his career if it was released, I think it just makes him look pitiful.
DAVID HASSELHOFF’s estranged wife PAMELA BACH is reportedly hitting back at the former BAYWATCH star by recording an album about spousal abuse. The couple have been publicly lashing out at each other since Hasselhoff filed for divorce in January (06) – Bach cited physical abuse, while Hasselhoff made claims Pamela was abusing prescription drugs. Bach filed a declaration, claiming that in December (05) Hasselhoff "grabbed me and pushed me hard into a car", adding, "In the past, he has also broken my nose." And, according to British newspaper the Daily Express, Bach will detail the abuse she allegedly suffered during her 16-year marriage on upcoming album TRANSITIONS. Speaking on CNN’s AMERICAN MORNING last week (ends25JUN06), Hasselfhoff denied the allegations, saying, "The only person who broke my wife’s nose was a plastic surgeon."
David Hasselhoff says he’s buying into the vertical trend in Las Vegas. He’s planning to move into a penthouse in a downtown high-rise. "Looks like I’m in," Hasselhoff said in a telephone interview during a break in rehearsals from "The Producers." "We’re going to rename it (the high-rise) the ‘Hoff’ Lofts," he said. If his Las Vegas move works out, he’s looking at a long-term stay. "I want to see how ‘The Producers’ goes. If it does well, and the people embrace Hasselhoff, I’ve already talked to Harrah’s about doing an after-hour (variety) show once or twice a week," he said. Before Mel Brooks came along with "The Producers" offer, Hasselhoff said, he was exploring the idea of doing "David Hasselhoff: The Musical" in Las Vegas. "It’s a fun, tongue-in-cheek show, with a Broadway set and a serious set," he said.
