Cheryl Burke and Cody Rigsby will dance on Monday’s DWTS despite having COVID-19
October 1st, 2021 under Dancing with the Stars. [ Comments: none ]

On Sunday, Cheryl Burke announced that she has a breakthrough case of COVID-19. So on Monday, Dancing with the Stars came up with a creative way to keep them in the competition. They had the judges judge one of their rehearsals.

We didn’t know how they would continue on because Burke is in the middle of a 10-day quarantine.

But then yesterday happened, and something happened that made their future on the dancing conpetition seem bleak. Burke’s partner, Cody Rigsby, also tested positive for a breakthrough case of coronavirus, the second time he has had COVID this year.

Does that mean they are out? They are down, but not out. The dancing duo told Good Morning America’s Zohreen Shah, they will be dancing this week! How? They will be performing from their homes, on different coasts. How? We will find out on Monday, but even I am not sure.

If they somehow make it happen and look semi-descent, they better get a 40 and a standing ovation. I mean, it is admirable that they are dancing with COVID-19. But to do a routine 3,000 miles apart is mind-blowing.

Good luck and get well to them.

Oh, and Tyra Banks better not make it about her. That is an even harder task than what Burke and Rigsby were assigned.

Before Cody Rigsby was Dancing with the Stars, he was dancing with Natascha Bessez. Aren’t the 26-year-old’s moves impressive back in 2013?

Cody Rigsby tests positive for breakthrough COVID-19, DWTS future unclear
September 30th, 2021 under Coronavirus, Dancing with the Stars. [ Comments: none ]

On Sunday, Cheryl Burke revealed that she tested positive for a breakthrough case of COVID-19.

Today, her Dancing with the Stars partner, Cody Rigsby, revealed he also has it. Sadly, this is the second time he contracted it this year. However, the Peleton instructor says it is easier this go around because he is fully vaccinated.

So what does it mean for the future in the ballroom? On Monday, the dancing competition asked the judges to judge their rehearsal. However, now that Burke is in the middle of her 10-day quarantine and he is just starting his, he says their fate is unknown.

I have a feeling they danced their last dance. At least for this season.

I hope the two of them are better soon.

Caption Tyra Banks’ dress!

Tyra Banks wants to be the Belle of the Ball. However, she is the joke of the ballroom. The Dancing with the Stars host wants the show to be all about her, so she wears the most ridiculous styles.

Instead of laughing with her, we are laughing at her. So yesterday, when she wore this Julian Mendez Couture maroon gown, people on Twitter were having a field day comparing it to things like the coronavirus or the little dinosaurs that killed Newman in Jurassic Park. All I see are the annoying paper lanterns you have to put together.

What do you see? Don’t hold back.

Cheryl Burke tests positive for COVID-19, will miss DWTS
September 27th, 2021 under Coronavirus, Dancing with the Stars. [ Comments: none ]

Cheryl Burke was feeling run down yesterday, so she decided to get a COVID-19 test. As she suspected, she has a breakthrough case of coronavirus. Therefore, she has to quarantine for 12 days.

That means she will have to miss at least two episodes of Dancing with the Stars. So, Cody Rigsby, if he is allowed to continue, will have to dance with someone else. They might decide that he has to quarantine too.

There is so much that will have to be explained tonight during the show. For example, judges Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli are over 65, and Carrie Ann Inaba has an autoimmune disease. Even though Inaba is vaccinated and had COVID-19, I know someone who still had a breakthrough case after getting it and being vaccinated.

There are so many variables that make this scenario different than an injury. So it will be interesting to see how it all plays out.

Get well soon, Cheryl.
