Remember how much Maddie Ziegler and Abby Lee Miller loved each other when she was on Dance Moms? Well, that was then, and this is now. When Us Weekly caught up with the teen star, they asked her about her old dance teacher. She told them, “We don’t keep in contact,” then she added, “But I wish her the best.”

Miller is suffering from an aggressive form of cancer which is why she wished her well. Whatever happened off camera must have been really bad because the young dancer appeared to think of Miller as a second mom. At least that was what was scripted for her on the reality show.

Abby Lee Miller says she underwent another emergency surgery
June 5th, 2018 under Dance Moms. [ Comments: none ]

Back in April, Abby Lee Miller was rushed to the hospital with severe pain. After some tests, doctors believed that she had an infection in her spine and immediately they rushed in for spinal surgery to remove it. The doctors did some more tests and determined that infection is actually a rapidly spreading cancer. Since then she has remained in the hospital and has received 3 rounds of chemo to help to beat the reported Burkitt lymphoma, a form of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

Today she posted another update with the above photo and said, “After another 2 hour MRI this morning, the pros thought I needed one more quick little emergency surgery! Ugh! I’m in recovery now and texting so everything must be ok, just hiccups in my plans!” Then she added, “I’m on a tight schedule; shooting two projects and I need to get out of here and on with my life!!! Please keep me in your prayers🙏🏻 I’m grateful for all the well wishes!”

She did not say what the two projects are that she is working on. Last rumor I heard is that Dance Moms with just the minis was off. Maybe it is back on? Maybe she is working on a series about her life after federal prison. According to her, she finished her sentence on May 25th.

She is free from the justice system, but she is not free from cancer being in her system. Because of that let’s take some time to pray for her as she tries her hardest to beat cancer and regain her health.

Abby Lee Miller shares a hospital selfie

Abby Lee Miller has had a real sh!tty week and she is asking for prayers on social media.

She was recently rushed to the hospital. While she was there she lost feeling below her neck. Doctors did a CT and thought she had an infection going down her spinal cord. They rushed her into surgery and removed what they thought was causing the problem.

Then they ran some tests and gave her preliminary diagnosis of Burkitt Lymphoma. It is a fast-spreading cancer that requires intensive chemotherapy in order to beat it. Even though it sounds fatal, if it is detected early a majority of the patients survive it.

Today, after that hellish week, she posted the above photo and said, “So much gratitude and love for those who listened, those who looked deeper and those who leapt into action. So much more I wish I could say……about how quickly your life can change at the hands of others. Thanks for 🙏🏻❤️.”

In that picture she looks like a lost little girl instead of the tough 51-year-old woman we have gotten to know on Dance Moms. She needs to find that strength again to beat this. Attitude is as important as all of the medicine in the world. She needs to pretend that cancer is one of her students and she will beat cancer like, well you have seen the show!

Abby Lee Miller diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma

Yesterday, it was revealed that Abby Lee Miller went under emergency surgery for an infection affecting her spine. Turns out it was not an infection, but it is most likely Burkitt lymphoma, a form of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. According to Eonline, they are waiting for the final results of the test before they confirm the diagnosis.

Lymphoma Action describes it is a rare, fast-growing cancer of the lymph nodes that is often fatal if not diagnosed early. If it diagnosed early, then she will go under intensive chemo-immunotherapy, which is chemotherapy with antibody therapy. The site says she will most likely start treatment immediately and stay in the hospital throughout all of it. Her prognosis is good if she responds to therapy.

Dr. Hooman Melamed also told the E! that she may require an additional surgery on her back.

She has a rough couple of months ahead of her, so here is to hoping those months go as smoothly as possible.

I wonder what happens to remaining part of her sentence. Will they just let her go with time served or will she have to go back to the halfway house when she is done with all of the therapy for the cancer and to rebuild her muscles?

Talk about having a really sh!tty year. She started it out in prison and then it will continue with months in the hospital and therapy. She was a little over a month from getting her life back and now it is going to take longer until she can teach dance again.

Abby Lee Miller might be paralyzed from a spinal infection
April 18th, 2018 under Dance Moms. [ Comments: 1 ]

Abby Lee Miller has been taken to the hospital twice since she got out of prison and moved to a halfway house late last month; and the second time proved to be almost fatal for her.

According to People, she was diagnosed with a rare spinal infection that left her paralyzed from the neck down. Doctors were perplexed why she lost sensation from the neck down, so they did a CT. It was then that they saw she had an infection that started at her neck and went down her spine. A very rare condition according to Dr. Hooman M. Melamed, her doctor at the hospital.

Once they knew what was going on, they rushed her into a surgery. People says, “The almost five-hour surgery required an 18-inch incision on her back as Melamed had to remove the back part of several vertebrae to back to relieve pressure her spinal cord.”

Since the surgery, she has started to regain feeling in her body, which is a good sign. When it comes to if she will ever walk again, her doctor told the magazine it depends on how she recovers.

Right now, she in the ICU and they are hoping to transfer her to a rehab facility by the end of the week. That is if she does not require another surgery. If all goes well, then she will get physical therapy in rehab and hopefully, she will be back to her old self.

No matter how you feel about the dance teacher turned reality star, please take a moment to pray for her. She is going to need all the prayers she can get so that she can walk again.
