Oscar winner Patty Duke really wants to play Sheldon’s MeeMaw on The Big Bang Theory, so she recorded the song Soft Kitty to convince the producers to give the Emmy winner a shot. But she isn’t the only one trying land her the coveted role, her fans have started a Facebook page to help guest star on the #1 sitcom.
I think she would be perfect for Moonpie’s MeeMaw and I hope they write the part for her. Seriously wouldn’t you love to see her on the show and maybe she can even duke it out with Evil Wil Wheaton’s grandmother because she is sick of the way the Stand By Me star has been treating her favorite grandson?
Instead of calling her Anna, let’s call her MeeMaw!!!
CBS announced today that Two and a Half Men will be back for another season and I can’t wait to see what type of torture they are going to put Alan through. Hopefully it will be even worse than this season because they really caused him a lot of physical pain this year and I loved every second of it. In fact I think that the show was better with Ashton Kutcher than it was with Charlie Sheen, he breathed new life into it and it totally worked. The only thing I wish for is that next season they dump Walden’s girlfriend Zoey, for some reason all the girlfriends on the show annoy me. I take that back I liked Kandi, but April Bowlby left to do Drop Dead Diva.
UPDATE: CBS has cancelled CSI: Miami, Unforgettable, NYC 22, A Gifted Man and Rob according to Deadline. It is shame about Unforgettable and A Gifted Man because both shows started off slow, but really picked up their momentum as the season went on.
Tonight is the season finale of The Big Bang Theory on CBS at 8p and it ends with a wedding. When Howard Wolowitz is told he is going into space two days before his wedding, he has to decide whether to cancel the big event, move it up or wait until he gets back. He wants to keep his wedding date as is because he doesn’t want to go into space, but he doesn’t tell that to his future bride Bernadette. Since she doesn’t know her fiance’ is afraid, she tells him that she wants to move the wedding up so that she will be Mrs Wolowitz even if they are not on the same planet together. Now they have less than a week to pull off the perfect big day, will they be able to make it happen? Will Howie chicken out of being a husband? Will he wimp out of going into space? You have to tune in to find out in this episode that is a real blast…off.
In the season premiere of Two of a Half Men, the show killed off Charlie Harper and we never thought we would see him again after what happened between him and show creator Chuck Lorre. Well tonight on CBS at 9p when his brother Alan (Jon Cryer) has a heart attack, he returns from hell to get his revenge on little bro. You have to see what he does to his old roommate because let’s just say it is very good and very Charlie.
BTW Kathy Bates guest stars on the show tonight and Jon Cryer Tweeted the actress was a real trooper even though she was going through some misery of her own. He said, “New 2 1/2 Men tonight! W/ guest Kathy Bates!! Fun Fact: Kathy performed most of tonight’s episode HAVING JUST BROKEN HER TOE!!!” He then added, “Seriously, after our run thru she broke her toe, got crutches and INSISTED ON DOING THE AUDIENCE SHOW ANYWAY!! #kathybatesishardcore” Very impressive and you can’t even be able to tell she had a broken toe when you watch the episode tonight.
Billy Gardell was on The Tonight Show yesterday and Jay Leno asked about his co-star Melissa McCarthy being nominated for and Oscar. He said that she hasn’t changed and is so proud that in the last year she stars on a hit sitcom, became an Emmy winner and an Oscar nominee.
Even though he is happy for her, on his way home the day she was nominated for the Academy Award he thought to himself that if she won that he’ll “officially be like that guy who worked with Tom Hanks on Bosom Buddies. They’re going to go ‘Remember Mike and Molly with Melissa McCarthy? What the hell was that other guy? What’s his name?'”
His name is Peter Scolari, and I am sorry to tell you Billy, that you are no him. After Bosom Buddies he went on to star in Newhart and Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, and I do not see you following in his footsteps. That and I do not see McCarthy winning the Oscar for Bridesmaids, since she already won the Emmy for it.
Now don’t get me wrong I like Billy Gardell, I just don’t like that he dissed Scolari for no reason at all. I know Scolari’s name now and I will know it twenty years from now, and I hate to say but I don’t think I can say the same about that guy from Mike and Molly. What’s his name again?
