Blue Bloods goes where no show has gone before tonight
February 3rd, 2012 under CBS, Tom Selleck. [ Comments: none ]

Tonight at 10p Blue Bloods goes where no show has gone before, as it is the first scripted show to film at the 9/11 Memorial and they do with the utmost respect. Frank Reagan’s (Tom Selleck) former-colleague, who was with him on 9/11 in the North Tower of the World Trade Center, is dying from something that was most likely brought on that day. The Police Commissioner goes through a lot of emotions throughout the episode while his friend is losing his battle with life. It is a side you have not seen from Selleck on the show before and it is so compelling to watch his raw emotion on the show. But none of it is more real than the scene where he visits the 9/11 Memorial. His face emulates what every person who goes down there feels and even the ones who will see it on the show today will feel.
The episode is not only emotional because of Frank’s story but there is also an intensely powerful one for Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) and his family. While riding home with his wife and two boys in the car, he accidentally hits someone who runs in front of his car. When he goes out to help him, he realizes that the guy was being shot at and the shooter doesn’t plan on stopping. Bullets are exchanged and one enters Danny’s car. His wife and sons will never be the same and he is determined to find the shooter. His wife Linda (Amy Calson) is at her wit’s end over being that close to a bullet that could’ve killed her or one of her sons that she doesn’t know how to deal with her reaction to it. Eventually Danny will see how it is affecting her and he will make an offer she might not be able to refuse. It is something that will leave you crying and wanting to hug Donnie Wahlberg.
While Blue Bloods does not get the Emmy love it so richly deserves, they got something even better by being able to be the first to film at the 9/11 Memorial. It is an honor that we were given and they give it back ten fold in the best episode of the show’s run so far. So tune in for an episode that will leave you drained from emotion, and it is worth it.

Michael Weatherly pants are giving him a fun time
January 31st, 2012 under CBS, Michael Weatherly. [ Comments: 3 ]

NCIS is about to celebrate its 200th episode next week on CBS at 9p and Michael Weatherly is wearing his pants so high he looks as many years old as the show has episodes. Actually I am in pain just looking at him standing there. It is like self-imposed wedgie and I know boys and his boys don’t like that. It is a good thing his wife is pregnant because after how high his slacks are riding him, I am not sure he will be able to make another one?
Sincerely I love that picture of Tony DiNozzo having some fun on the set of TV’s #1 show, I had to share it with you.

CBS cares to send you to New York for a colonoscopy
January 21st, 2012 under CBS. [ Comments: 1 ]

CBS is the butt of all jokes with a contest they currently having to send you to NY for a free colonoscopy. I am not sh!tting you, watch the commercial above and see how you can enter to be flown the big apple and have a tube with a camera shoved up your ass. Now how you thought you would finally be on camera for CBS. But before you get the exam and after you have tasted all of the fine dining the city has to offer, drink up that drink that will make it all of that yummy food come out in several trips to the bathroom at that five star hotel they are putting you up in. So even though you get three days in NY, one is spent in the bathroom and the other at the doctors, that sounds like as much fun as having a colonoscopy. Oh wait.
Seriously if CBS wants to skew younger, why are they offering a contest for a health exam that is suppose to start when you are 50. If they want to skew younger offer a breast exam, I know I had some of best ones when I was growing up in NYC and would gladly go back for some more.
And I wonder how CBS got Ozzy Osbourne to do it, I mean I know that Sharon Osbourne is a colon cancer survivor but I am sure he would rather bite the head off of a bat then realize she got him to take part in this campaign.
Oh and did I mention I saw this add during The Big Bang Theory, gives the title of the show that beat American Idol in the demo, a whole new meaning. Don’t you think?
Editor’s note – even though I made a sh!t load of jokes in this post, colonoscopies are very serious and I think that everyone needs to get them. I just have a huge a$$ problem with how CBS went about promoting how people need to get it done. I guess now we know why they go by CBS because they like to C Butt Sh!t.

Rob is loosely based on Rob Schneider’s life with his new wife
January 12th, 2012 under CBS. [ Comments: none ]

Last year Rob Schneider got married to a television producer from Mexico City and tonight on CBS at 8:30p a sitcom about him adjusting to life being married to Mexican debuts. The Gringo has to adjust to a culture that is so different to his and that is something that he says that he to had to do in a real life. He shared with the critics yesterday at the TCAs that his wife’s parents do not speak English and he doesn’t speak Spanish. But there isn’t only a language barrier between them, he also described another difference “You know, my dad is German, and they’re just not as touchy feely. Mexicans kiss you when they see you, and they kiss you when you leave, and it’s a beautiful thing.” It is things like that this will be incorporated on Rob.
So how did he meet the love of his life who is from Mexico City, here is the beginning of their love story, “when I met Patricia I was like — you know, this lovely woman she’s a TV producer, and I was a guest on a she reluctantly had me on as a guest on her show because she knew I didn’t speak Spanish, you know. So she said, ‘I don’t want this American guy coming down here doing this.’ But they made her have me on the show, and then I met her. She kissed me hello, and I went, like, ‘Wow.’ So I asked her to dinner and then, you know, begged her to go out with me for weeks, and then she finally flew with her mother to Los Angeles for dinner.” And the rest is history…on a CBS sitcom.
I was hooked on the show after watching the pilot, but what really made me love it even more is what Claudia Bassols who plays Rob’s wife said about his real one. When asked if she has met Mrs Schneider, this is what she told us “I have met Rob’s wife, and she’s amazing. From the moment I met her, I loved her. She’s a very special person, very charismatic and beautiful inside and out. And, no, I have not taken notes because she just she has that something special, and that’s impossible to try and imitate. So I just what I always love is that their love story, I think, inspires this whole story, you know, and it is so real, and it’s anytime Rob speaks about his wife, his face lights up, and it’s just wonderful. I love it. I love hearing him talk about her. And when I met her, it makes sense. You see them together. So I just that inspiration of seeing that, that’s what I take on and try to bring that to, you know, our story.” And is is fun to watch it play out every Thursday on CBS after The Big Bang Theory.
