Chris O’Donnell screams like a girl!
August 14th, 2014 under CBS. [ Comments: none ]

Chris O’Donnell is one of the umpteenth celebrities to take part in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, and he is the only one I have heard scream like a little girl. Who would’ve thought that that sound could come out of him? He plays such a masculine character on NCIS: LA, which is back on CBS, Monday (its new night) September 29th; you’d never think his voice could get so high. But I guess that is how real men sound when they take a much needed ice cold shower. And his was literally ice cold.
Chris challenged his co-stars to take part in the challenge too, so I wonder how cool LL Cool J will be when dumps a bucket of cool ice on his head. Knowing him, he will be suaver than suave as he licks his lips.

Molly loses the baby on Extant, but will Elka lose the debate on Hot In Cleveland!
August 6th, 2014 under CBS, TV Land. [ Comments: none ]

Tonight at 10p on CBS’s Extant, Molly (Halle Berry) wakes up in the woods with Ethan (Pierce Gagnon), who does not wake up. As soon as John (Goran Visnjic) finds them, he calls for help. When the EMTs look at her, he tells them she’s pregnant and to check on the baby. They tell him there is no heartbeat. When she gets to the hospital, the doctors not only confirm she isn’t pregnant, but that she hasn’t been pregnant recently. Now she is trying to prove to everyone that she really was pregnant, but everyone is denying the fact including her good friend Sam (Camryn Manheim) who was the one who gave her the news in the first place. Will she be able to prove that she was with child or will everyone think she is crazy? And where is the baby?
Now, when it comes to Ethan, he is in a robot coma. He shut himself off to protect himself and they can’t turn him back on. Did Molly and John lose two children in one day or will they get one back?
You just have to tune in to this Sci-Fi drama to find out.

Also at 10p but on TV Land, Melanie (Valerie Bertinelli) runs into an old flame on Hot In Cleveland. As soon as she starts talking to Donald (Craig Bierko), she remembers why she ended things with him. But that doesn’t stop her from having sex with him one more time (which you can’t blame her because he puts the HOT in Hot In Cleveland). When they are done she tells him that Elka (Betty White) might be crazy because she acts like Kevin Spacey in House of Cards. After she makes that reveal, she finds out that he is Elka’s opponent’s campaign manager and the two candidates have a debate coming up.
Did Melanie just cost her friend the debate or will she somehow save the day? You will just have to tune in to find out in this very funny episode.

Extant is out of this world
July 9th, 2014 under CBS. [ Comments: none ]

Extant debuts on CBS tonight at 9p and you don’t want to miss one of the biggest television events in recent broadcast TV.
Extant takes place in the near future and Oscar winner, Halle Berry, plays Molly Wood, an astronaut who just spent 13 months in space all by herself. When her doctor (Camryn Manheim) does some tests, she finds out Molly is pregnant. How can someone who has been alone in space for over a year, with no human contact, be pregnant? That is the mystery. A hint of what might’ve happened is revealed in flashbacks throughout the episode, but does that really explain what happened up there?
Now, back on Earth, she gets to spend time with her husband, John (Goran Visnjic), and their “son”. I put son in quotes because the couple has been infertile up until now. Their child, Ethan (Pierce Gagnon), is an experiment that John has been working on. He is a life-size android that is being taught how to feel like you and me. He is being raised as a child, who will become an adult (his data will switch bodies throughout time), so he will learn right from wrong just like us humans.
Since Molly has been gone, he has changed. What does that mean? Can we really raise robots to be just like us?
These are two major plot points in the 13-episode event that’s produced by Steven Spielberg.
Personally, out of all of the things that Spielberg has done on television, I think this one feels the most like a movie. You don’t feel like you are watching TV between the acting, the cinematography and the story; you feel like you’re in a movie theater. Because of that, you will want to see what happens next.
CBS put a lot of money into this show, and it shows. Just because you throw a lot of money towards a production doesn’t mean it’s going to be good. Extant is not good, it is excellent. So tune in tonight and every Wednesday for the rest of the summer for a series unlike any other.

Reckless is Unforgettable
June 29th, 2014 under CBS. [ Comments: none ]

Reckless is so hot, that the CBS legal drama that debuts tonight at 9p could only air in the summer.
Jamie Sawyer (Anna Wood) is a Chicago lawyer who recently moved to Charleston, SC and she has her work cut out for her. Her main opposition is recently divorced father of two, Roy Rayder (Cam Gigandet), who is just as good in the courtroom.
While their first case is kind of ordinary, the second one will play out throughout the season.
Lee Anne Marcus (Georgina Haig) is married and she works for the police department, and she is having an affair with another officer. One night when she was drunk, she was videotaped on top of a car sleeping with that officer and a few of the others on the force. The video is somehow sent out to the department and she loses her job. So now she hired Sawyer to sue the force because she is the only one who lost her job. Her lawsuit exposes the fact that the police department has corrupt officers working in it and some will do anything to keep her quiet. How far will they go? We will just have to tune into this steamy show each week to find out.

Then at 10p Carrie (Poppy Montgomery) is back to solve cases on Unforgettable in a way only she can.
Tonight she goes undercover in a counterfeit ring to capture a murderer. Even though she knows everything, will it be enough to fool the mystery woman who doesn’t care who she kills? You will have to watch this suspenseful episode to find out.

CBS’s new fall schedule is…
May 14th, 2014 under CBS. [ Comments: none ]

CBS announced their fall schedule and they made a lot of changes. Gone on Monday is the second hour of sitcoms and NCIS: LA leaves the mothership to join Mondays. NCIS: LA is being replaced by CSI: New Orleans on Tuesday. CSI moves from Wednesdays to Sundays. After Thursday night football, the night pretty much stays the same except with the addition of The McCarthys. The big news is that Two and a Half Men will be ending this season. So it is 12 and out, which is still very impressive. Friday sees a big change with Amazing Race starting the night off. Finally, Sunday sees The Good Wife at the same time, but it will be sandwiched between two dramas including CSI at 10p.
Missing from the schedule is The Mentalist and The Odd Couple with Matthew Perry and I am sure they will be on before we know it.
When it comes to How I Met Your Dad, we won’t be meeting him. CBS was not happy with pilot and the producers would not reshoot it. Personally, I think they made the right choice because How I Met Your Mother was not that good its final seasons.
What do you think of the CBS schedule? I think it will be interesting to see what happens because this is the most changes they have made in a while.
