Imagine Die Hard with Frank Sinatra as John McLaine
December 17th, 2020 under Bruce Willis. [ Comments: none ]

Believe it or not, Frank Sinatra was offered the role of John McLaine in Die Hard. How? Why? What?

Back in 1968, the legendary crooner starred in The Detective, which was based on Roderick Thorp’s 1966 novel. Die Hard is based on the sequel to that book. Therefore, they were obligated to ask Old Blue Eyes to star in the film according to NME.

However, he turned down the role, as did Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, Clint Eastwood, Mel Gibson, James Caan, Richard Gere, and few others. Eventually, they changed the lead’s name, Bruce Willis accepted the role, and the rest is movie history.

Had any of the others said yes, then we would not have the annual Christmas tradition of watching Die Hard. Well, everyone but me because I still haven’t seen it. I know.

How did it take 32 years for DieHard to come up with this ad?
October 19th, 2020 under Ads, Bruce Willis. [ Comments: none ]

In 1988, Bruce Willis starred in a little Christmas movie called Die Hard. Now, 32 years later, DieHard battery is finally did an epic ad combining the two? What took you so long, mother f*ckers? Oh yeah, great things come to those who wait. Either that, or it took them this long to save up the money to make this commercial. How much do you think it cost? I am sure it cost them more than a Yippee Ki Yay.

Watch Bruce Willis’ pitch die hard

Yesterday, Bruce Willis was asked to throw the first pitch at the Phillies game and let’s say it did not go well. The baseball bounced before home plate and the catcher caught the ball after the bounce. The fans from Philadelphia were so supportive, they booed him. Oh wait, that is not supportive, but the right reaction. I mean his ball did not go the whole nine yards! On a positive note, at least we know the action star will not be moonlighting as a baseball player.

Yippee Ki-Yay MFs, Die Hard is a Christmas movie!
December 19th, 2018 under Bruce Willis. [ Comments: none ]

I have seen tons of horror, Hallmark, Lifetime, kid-friendly movies about Christmas, but I have never seen Die Hard in the 30 years it has been out. I know, I know.

Anyways, I know it is the 30th anniversary because Fox released a new trailer for the milestone and settled the debate if it is a Christmas movie. I think the argument is over, it is a movie for the season. Don’t you agree, Bruce Willis?

You can download the Die Hard Christmas Edition (all five movies) now on iTunes and Vudu.

Cybill Shepherd is Moonlighting as comedian for the Bruce Willis Roast
June 28th, 2018 under Bruce Willis. [ Comments: none ]

Ever since Comedy Central announced that they were roasting Bruce Willis, we, die hard fans, have been hoping that they would ask Cybill Shepherd to be one of his roasters. Today, they released that she will be revealing all about their days together on Moonlighting back in the ’80s.

The actress is just one of the people they announced who will be on the dais, the others are Nikki Glaser, Lil Rel Howery, Dom Irrera, Edward Norton, Kevin Pollak and Jeff Ross with more names being confirmed at a later date. They previously told us that Joseph Gordon-Levitt will be the Roastmaster for the night.

The Comedy Central Roast of Bruce Willis will air on July 29th. Personally, I cannot wait to see what Ed Norton does because I have been dying to see him let his comedy chops out ever since I saw Death to Smoochy. Yes, I was the only person who loved it, I know!

Finally, I hope that Seagram’s Wine Coolers are the drink of the night. If you don’t get that reference, then you do not know Bruce Willis.
