Lynne Spears wrote a book bragging how she raised her daughters Britney and Jamie Lynn Spears and now she is doing the TV circuit starting with The Today Show on NBC.
I just can’t believe any mother would sell her daughters out like that, she revealed more in her book than the tabloids ever have…

Blame Britney Spears’ mom

Britney Spears' mom Lynne is making a buck off of screwing up her daughter in her new book according to Daily Mail.

Britney Spears' mother Lynne's new book contains explosive revelations that the star was drinking at 13, sexually active at 14 and took drugs at 15

A source has told how Britney was dating the football star while at school, and mother Lynne encouraged the relationship because she thought it would make her more popular.

But Britney spent a lot of time at the boy's house, where she lost her virginity and mother Lynne admitted later regretting allowing her daughter to date such an older boy.

But when Britney began dating fellow ex-Disney club member Justin Timberlake, Lynne allowed them to spend the night together in Britney's room. Lynne was said to be sure the teenagers were having sex.

But because she thought Britney was in love and that Justin was good for her she didn't raise any objections.

Lynne's book also reveals that she knew Britney, then 15, was experimenting with drugs when she went to Los Angeles to record her breakthrough album 'Baby One More Time'.

Lynne thought she was going through the typical teenage problems, but they seemed to be more than that, when the singer was allegedly caught boarding a private plane aged 16, cocaine and marijuana was found in her bag.

Britney was caught by her mother drinking alcohol as young as 13. But laid-back Lynne reportedly didn't mind her children drinking as long as she was there.

But she appeared to have little control over her daughter's party lifestyle, and by the age of 16, Britney was frequenting bars in New Orleans with her brother Bryan, who is five years older than her.

In the book, Lynne expresses how much she regrets handing over control of Britney's career to managers and allowing her daughter to be promoted to as a sex object in raunchy videos at such a young age.

Apparently, Britney's mother was told that if the singer was going to compete with sexier and older stars like Mariah Carey , 'she needed to be marketed more like a "Lolita"'

A source said: 'Lynne's book does a lot of soul-searching on the mistakes she made raising Britney and Jamie Lynn.

'She says if she had known helping her daughter Britney follow her dreams would cost her her soul, she would never have done it.'

So sad. She blames Britney's desire to be a star for being why she is the way she is now. But she admits to allowing her to drink with her at 13 and making her hang with guy to make her popular. That had nothing to do with her being star. No wonder Britney is thanking her dad for saving her life and not her mom who helped to mess it up.

I don't understand how any mom can sell their daughters out to write a book a like that. I guess she paid the price seeing how they turned out. Could've beens.
