About a month ago, Bret Michaels underwent surgery due to kidney stones. However, due to his diabetes and a stent being put up his penis, doctors insisted he take a month off.

On Friday, he was ready to take the stage again. Or so he thought.

His people wrote in a statement: “Following Bret Michaels’ comeback show at The Bowl at Sugar Hill, doctors and paramedics determined immediately after the show that he still needs additional rest and recovery from his recent surgeries. Bret will be taking the next several months off to heal and get back to 100%.

“Bret’s doctors, Dr. Abby Borhan and Dr. Patel stated, ‘We will be pulling Bret off the road for the time being. He wanted to attempt this show, but we feel there is a much-needed period of rest and slow recovery ahead, especially considering the heat and humidity during the summer months and the effect it can have on his blood sugar levels.'”

Today, Michaels wrote his own statement: “There are not enough words to ever say how grateful I am for all the well wishes of family, friends, fans, bands, crews…and Larry, as well as the incredible get well shoutouts from my musician friends on stage at The Mountain Music Festival. They truly gave me the strength I needed to remain unbroken. As you know, I always choose victory over being a victim to my disease. I truly felt I would be able to do all these shows in spite of the recent health domino effect that has occurred. I was truly upset that I could not play The Mountain Music Festival as I love the fans, the outdoors and Tennessee. And I vow to return in ’27 or ’28 and make it the best show ever, plus I wanted to see the rumored BearSquatch & rock with so many great bands, fans and crew…Right now, I’ve worked diligently with my doctors and physical therapists (who have been beyond incredible) on Saturday, today and will again on Monday, adjusting all the new medication and factoring in what I did not the other day, which was the heat factor in Awesome Atlanta, and, as it was my first show back and I wanted to give every ounce of energy I had in me, with my excitement, I also forgot to factor in the day of, coast to coast flight, which had an effect on my blood sugar & blood pressure levels with the new medicine adjustments, including my insulin. You’ve gotta know that my energy and my soul really want to play music. Hopefully, I will get this figured out much sooner than later. If I could, I would be back out there tomorrow. Sincere love to all…stand strong, rock on and remain Unbroken!”

Hopefully, 2027 will be his year. And maybe he will humble himself enough to reunite with Poison.

Bret Michaels forced to postpone his tour after emergency surgery
July 27th, 2026 under Bret Michaels. [ Comments: none ]

Last week, Bret Michaels revealed that he was suffering from kidney stones. Being the Rocker that he is, he kept on performing in pain. But when the pain was too much for him, he went to the hospital to get some comfort. Once there, he went under the knife so that doctors could remove a kidney stone that didn’t want to come out naturally. Today, he gave a post-op update.

The statement reads: ” Dr. Abby Borhan, Bret’s physician, a ureteral stent was successfully placed during the procedure and remains in situ. Due to the nature of Michaels’ post-operative condition and underlying health factors (diabetes, lower back compression fracture), he is restricted from performing for the next 3 to 4 weeks and only prescribed light physicabretl activity as part of his recovery. A ureteral stent causes significant internal friction, constant physical discomfort, and localized inflammation. The physical demands of Bret’s high-intensity live performances exacerbate these symptoms. Strenuous physical exertion carries a high risk of intense pain spikes, gross hematuria, and acute stent displacement, which would require immediate medical intervention.”

The singer added, “I’m forever grateful for the amazing medical treatment and ongoing medical attention throughout my personal life and career, and truly grateful for family, friends, fans, band, crew and promoters for their understanding and, if all goes well, will hit the road late August back to delivering 1000% energy, intensity and truly nothing but a good time.”

The Poison singer who dances with your mama is hoping to reschedule the postponed dates.

Hopefully, the fallen angel will recuperate soon and be back talking dirty to audiences all over the United States.

Bret Michaels learns there are things more painful than a rose’s thorn
July 23rd, 2026 under Bret Michaels. [ Comments: none ]

Have you ever picked up a rose and gotten pricked by a thorn? It hurts like hell.

Well, it wasn’t a thorn that got Bret Michaels singing a sad, sad song. What did? A kidney stone.

The singer was recently hospitalized with one, after a week of hoping it would pass. He posted on social media, “The pain became intense but, as usual, I played through Charleston WV, Grantville PA and a special private show at Fairchild AFB in Spokane for veterans, active duty and their families. But immediately, the next day following that show, I was admitted to the hospital, as the pain became too much when the stone would not pass.”

After he was admitted, the doctors performed an operation on him to get the poison out of his body. It was successful, and now he is hoping he will be healthy enough to play his next gig on Saturday night. Knowing him, he will be able to do it.

Michaels also wanted to thank all of the doctors and nurses who take care of everyone who comes their way, especially the ones who have taken care of him during this painful time.

Morris Day, Young MC, and C+C Music Factory drop out of Freedom 250
May 27th, 2026 under Bret Michaels, Donald Trump, Vanessa Minnillo/Nick Lachey. [ Comments: none ]

Today, something called Freedom 205 announced a concert series at the National Mall in DC around July 4th to celebrate America’s 250th birthday.

They took Prince’s words to heart, as in they booked artists that would have been cool to party with in 1999.

Who are these acts? They are: Martina McBride, Young MC, C+C Music Factory, Vanilla Ice, Milli Vanilli, The Commodores, Morris Day & The Time, Flo Rida, and Bret Michaels.

Well, I guess they didn’t clear it with everyone because Morris Day took to social media and wrote, “Contrary To Rumor, Morris Day & The Time Will Not Be Perfoming At The ‘GREAT AMERICAN STATE FAIR.'”

And he is not the only one. Young MC wrote, “I HAVE INFORMED MY AGENTS THAT I WILL NOT BE PERFORMING AT THE FREEDOM 250 EVENT.

“The artists were never told about any political involvement with the event. And despite the claims by the organizers that the event is non- partisan, SPIN magazine describes it as Trump-backed”. I hope to perform in D.C. in the near future at an event that is not so politically.”

Finally, Freedom Williams from C+C Music Factory clarified things in his recorded message. He said that his agent called him three months ago and asked if he wanted to play DC. However, he never explained what it was for. As soon as he realized that it was associated with donald trump, he didn’t break a sweat and pulled out from performing.

As of Wednesday night, none of the other musicians listed have posted anything about performing at the Great American State Fair. Therefore, I think that a few more will drop out.

However, I am sure that Rob Pilatus of Milli Vanilli will still go live. Too soon?

Seriously, am I the only one who didn’t know that some of these acts were still together and touring? I really thought a few of them didn’t make it past the millennium, like C+C.

On that note, some of these names are so on par for this administration because of their scandals. Milli Vanilli and C+C Music Factory used “prettier faces” to be the faces for the real people singing their songs. Vanilla Ice was sued for sampling Queen and David Bowie’s Pressure in Ice, Ice Baby. And Bret Michaels thinking he is better than his Poison bandmates.

Gotta love Meidas Trump, turning everything into shit with his touch.

UPDATE: Vanilla Ice confirmed he will be performing, “This is going to be epic. America 250 put your dancing shoes on everyone is a teenager for the night.”

So yesterday, I was going to write that I had a theory that Vanilla Ice was behind the lineup because he is friends with trump and told him to book. And this makes me think I was correct.

Bret Michaels hospitalized after a concert
December 17th, 2023 under Bret Michaels. [ Comments: none ]

On Friday night, Bret Micheals Waterloo, NY. And it took everything he had.

“Last night at del Lago Resort & Casino, the fans could not have been better & more understanding as I was having a struggle with dehydration and my diabetes all day – from being under the weather, tested for Covid twice (negative both times) – I mustered up every bit of energy to do the show & leave it all on this stage,” the Poison singer wrote. “Immediately following the show, I went to the hospital, where the staff, doctors, nurses and all of the frontline workers could not have been better. Honestly, their combination of professionalism & great personalities as sick and dehydrated as I was feeling was unbelievable. They reacted very quickly and it was incredible.”

Due to his hospitalization, he cancelled yesterday’s performance. Hopefully, he is feeling better and ready to Rock out again with his Parti Gras tour soon!
