Doom Patrol is back for a smaller but bigger second season
June 25th, 2020 under Brendan Fraser, DC Comics, Matt Bomer. [ Comments: none ]

Doom Patrol is back today with its second season on HBO Max and DC Universe to see if it can top its first super season. When we last left off, our not-your-ordinary superheroes were shrunk down to doll size, and they have not grown an inch since then.

They obviously want to get bigger again, but The Cheif (Timothy Dalton) has not figured out a way to do it. He knows someone who can possibly help him, but that help will come at a huge cost. How far are they willing to go to be normal-sized again?

That is just one of their many problems. The Cheif’s daughter, Dorothy (Abigail Shapiro), is now living with them, and she has a lot of issues. The biggest one is that she will never grow up. Although some might say, it is probably all of the evil things living inside of her. When they come out, everyone should be afraid.

The Cheif wants Rita Farr (April Bowlby), Jane (Diane Guerrero), and Cliff Steel (Brendan Fraser) to get along with her. However, they are focused on themselves and getting bigger again.

Rita is not as stretchy as she used to be, and she needs to get her power back. Jane is losing her battle with her demons. While Cliff is dealing with his daughter, who thought he was dead for her whole life. How will she handle that he is alive and living robot?

Vic (Joivan Wade) and Larry Trainor (Matt Bomer) are still normal-sized and they are working on themselves. Vic is getting help from a therapy group, and he makes a new friend. While Larry is met with faces from his past. Will they accept him as he now?

The first three episodes that are streaming today are catching us up with what they have been through since they saved the world. But it is also catching us up on who they were before we got to know them. They have a lot of issues, and being tiny superheroes doesn’t help.

Especially since one of them is paying the ultimate price for them. But I have said too much…

What I can say is that Doom Patrol is anything but doomed. It is the best comic book show on television because it is unlike all of the others. The best way to put it is that there is sex, drugs, and Disco! Who doesn’t love that combo?

If you want to watch something original and fun, then check out Doom Patrol! It is everything you want and so much more.

What do you think of Doom Patrol’s newest member?

We are just 15 days away from the season two premiere of Doom Patrol on HBO Max. Today, the streaming service released the first look at the DC Universe show that is unlike all of the other ones. It is nice to see that nothing has changed for bumbling superheroes. That is why we love them and the things they do.

What can we expect from the new season? Cliff Steele aka Robotman (Brendan Fraser), Larry Trainor aka Negative Man (Matt Bomer), Rita Farr aka Elasti-Woman (April Bowlby), Jane aka Crazy Jane (Diane Guerrero), and Victor Stone aka Cyborg (Joivan Wade) — are back again to save the world. That is, if they can find a way to grow up…both figuratively and literally. Following the defeat of Mr. Nobody, the members of the Doom Patrol now find themselves mini-sized and stranded on Cliff’s toy race car track. Here they begin to deal with their feelings of betrayal by Niles Caulder aka The Chief (Timothy Dalton), while confronting their own personal baggage. And as each member faces the challenge of growing beyond their own past traumatic experiences, they must come together to embrace and protect the newest member of the family: Dorothy Spinner (Abigail Shapiro), Niles’ daughter, whose powers remain a mysterious but real threat to bringing on the end of the world.

If you have been on the fence on whether or not to subscribe to HBO Max, this show will make it easy for you to decide to do it. Doom Patrol is not my normal genre, but it is unlike all of the other ones. It is so ingenious and funny that you cannot help but root for them, even though they are massive screw ups. Not only that, but this is also a superhero show you cannot watch with the kids because there is sex and cursing. See we can have nice things.

Last summer’s best new show will be back for a second season on June 25th. However, Doom Patrol will not be returning to DC Universe. Instead. it is moving over to the new streaming service HBO Max.

As excited as I am for the new season, I want to know how they are going to top the mass orgasm scene. That is going to be hard to top. But, I am sure the producers are going to cum, I mean come, close.

HBO Max debuts on May 27th, and they will have a slew of other shows besides Doom Patrol streaming. To see what other series are coming to the streaming service starting on June 18th, then click here!

Doom Patrol is not doomed!
July 22nd, 2019 under Brendan Fraser, DC Comics, Kaley Cuoco, Matt Bomer. [ Comments: none ]

It was a busy weekend for DC Universe and they gave us plenty to be excited about.

First off, the news that made me the happiest, Doom Patrol will be back for a second season next year. Not only will it stream on DC Universe, but you will also be able to watch it on their new service HBO Max with the Gossip Girl spinoff. When it comes to our favorite anti-heroes, how can you not love a superhero show that has sex, cursing and a mass orgasm? The only thing I don’t want back next season is the huge cockroach. If they do bring him back then they need to do me a positive and give us more Matt Bomer topless scenes! Did I mention that he and Brendan Fraser are in it? It truly is the perfect show.

That was the only big story to come out from them at San Diego Comic-Com. Titans, the show Doom Patrol spun off of, will debut new episodes starting on September 26th. Young Justice: Outsiders will be back for a fourth season.

Finally, Harley Quinn gets animated and the cartoon, that stars Kaley Cuoco in the title character, is not for kids. A cartoon just for us also debuts this fall!

Doom Patrol tells us Crazy Jane’s story and how she has a part in the Rapture!
March 15th, 2019 under Brendan Fraser, DC Comics, Matt Bomer. [ Comments: none ]

Last week, when we left off of Doom Patrol it was literally the end of the World. Today, the episode, streaming now on DC Universe, picks up with Rapture making people disappear.

That is not the only story in the fifth episode. We also learn more about Crazy Jane (Diane Guerrero) and her time in the institution. They tortured her, but they could not break her. While they tried their hardest to do just that, they wound up creating a new personality for her. One that plays a part in the current apocalypse.

I cannot tell you much more, but I can tell you Disco also plays a part in it too. Who knew that was the Devil’s music and not heavy metal?

Another big part of this episode is The Captain (Timothy Dalton) is back. How will Doom Patrol react to his reappearance? One of them will walk out and another will turn on him.

However, they have a much bigger problem. You know, like the end of the World. Can these dysfunctional superheroes save the day?

A fun feature integrated into this episode is that the writers are starting to have a lot more fun and referencing the show itself. That is what makes this series so enjoyable to watch, they understand you cannot take a show with superheroes who are misfits too seriously. If you do, then it would be like almost all the other comic book movies and shows. Those are boring, DP is exciting. Plus, they use the S and F words! What more do you need to watch? Therefore, go to the streaming site and subscribe. Did I mention Matt Bomer and Brendan Fraser are also part of the patrol?
