What makes the cast of Undateable undateable? |

Undateable is the biggest comedy to debut in the summer in years, and it is back with two new episodes on NBC tonight at 9p. Having seem the those two episodes, I can tell you don’t want to say no this show.
Danny (Chris D’elia) does something to get Justin (Brent Morin) and Nicki (Briga Heelan) together; but when Justin tries to pretend it never happened, will it kill his chances with the girl of his dreams. Or maybe the undateable man will finally be dateable? You just have to tune into these very funny episodes to find out.
If you have seen this show, then you know the cast is very dateable. But there are things that make them undateable and the show’s star Chris D’elia and the Executive Producer Bill Lawrence dished about what those things are on a conference call last week.
For Chris the explanation is an easy one, because he said this about `himself, “I just feel like I’m undateable the whole time, my whole life.” I know, I have a friend that is so in love with him, she would date him in instant.
Chris had this to say about his friend, Brent Morin, “Well Brent is too short.” Then Bill added, “The thing Brent hates is we make fun of him for being short in real life and on the show and he’s not. He’s almost 6’ tall, but Chris and I are both taller than him.” Then he added with a laugh, “Yes, also by the way notice – because you notice that Brent’s a little angry in real life.”
So what about Rick Glassman? Here’s what Chris let us know about him, “Rick is completely annoying. He’s so annoying and so like to date him, I couldn’t even imagine because you’d be arguing over things that just have no, you’d be like, ‘No, that’s a bagel,’ and he’d be like, ‘No, it’s not, it’s a bird.’ Like that’s how annoying he is.”
And what about the love machine Ron Fuches? Bill shared with us, “much like you said Chris, the whole time you’d be dating Ron, I think you would in the back of your head feel like he wasn’t a real person and that he was just a figment of your imagination.”
So which cast member is dateable? According to Bill it is, the brand new mom in real life, Bianca Kajlich.
Of course, the comedian and the sitcom creator were joking about the castmates. And it is these types of joke that make the show so much fun and entertaining.
So if you can date one of those Undateable people, which one would it be? Now that you know what makes then Undateable?

Undateable is totally dateable! |

Tonight at 9p and 9:30p on NBC, Bill Lawrence’s newest comedy, Undateable, debuts and you will want to make a date with the sitcom.
Danny’s (Chris D’Elia) roommate moves out to get married and now the ladies man needs a new one ASAP. So he gets Justin (Brent Morin) to move in with him. Justin, owns a bar called Black Eye, and he has a crush on his waitress, Nicki (Briga Heelan). Only problem is that he is too afraid to tell her how he feels. So Danny says he will teach him, his way with the ladies so that he get some from possibly her or someone else. That someone else is Danny’s recently divorced sister, Leslie (Bianca Kajlich). She only wants her brother to grow up and settle down. But why would he want to do that because his life is so perfect now just as it is.
Not only will Danny have to work his magic on Justin, he will also have to put up with his friends the recently out Brett (David Fynn), Burski (Rick Glassman) who shouldn’t be allowed to talk to women because he is so bad at it and the should be doing better with the chicks, Shelly (Ron Funches). So now Danny will try to make these undateable men, dateable. Something Justin fights as hard as he can. Will Justin give in? Will he ever get a date with Nicki? You just have to watch this hilarious show to find out.
Not only is the writing a reason to tune into this show, but it is the instant chemistry between the cast that is another. Could be because they have known each other for years. I was on a conference call with Chris D’Elia earlier this week and he explained how he has known his co-stars for years. About 10 years ago, the comedian was doing a gig in North Hollywood, when he met a young, Brent, who was just starting out. The two became fast friends. About 4 years ago he met Rick. Rick eventually went on to work with Brent. And those two actually live in the same complex. When it comes to Ron, Chris met him by working the comedy circuit about a year ago. But the first person he met from the cast, is his TV sister. Bianca and him met 14 years ago when he was working on a movie and their mutual friend was the one making it.
Getting the right chemistry for this show was important. Executive Producer Bill Lawrence explained on that call, “Part of the battle in a sitcom is making it seem like people are friends and have chemistry.” Then he added, “And part of the idea behind this show is casting people that are friends in real life, you know, in the modern landscape, and you only have a couple episodes to establish that. It kind of helps that all these guys and girls hang out anyways.”
So make sure to watch a group of friends, who are friends in real life, pretend to be friends on TV.
I promise not only will you want a second date, but you will want to marry this show by the third one.

This Thursday, Undateable is going to premiere on NBC at 9p and you don’t want to miss this very funny sitcom that will have you laughing nonstop. Since it is the summer it is kind of hard to get the word out there about the premiere of the show; so the creator, Bill Lawrence, and the star, Chris D’Elia, found an interesting way to promote it. Lawrence called up his former star Zach Braff and the Scrubs’ doppelganger Dax Shepard and asked them to record a little something to promote the show. What they say will have you laughing as hard as you will when the you check out Undateable on Thursday. So make sure to watch both!

Raise a final glass to Cougar Town’s last season! |

The good news is that TBS picked up Cougar Town for a 6th season, the bad news is that it will be the show’s final one. At least we will get to see our favorite Cul De Sac friends get drunk for a few more episode and do things only they can get away with. So that is something to drink to!
And maybe if we get really lucky, TBS will give Stan his own show. His old enough for one now, right?
ABC might not have believed in this show like we do, but at least TBS did. And it turned out to be a good thing for the network because ever since they picked it up, they have launched several successful comedies like Sullivan & Son and Ground Floor.

It’s May 4th on The Big Bang Theory at 8p tonight on CBS and the force is with this episode. When they gang gets some bad news, they all handle it differently. Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Penny (Kaley Cuoco) go to Professor Proton’s (Bob Newhart) funeral, and they get so close at it that a certain question gets asked again. Meanwhile, Sheldon (Jim Parsons) stays home to celebrate Star Wars Day, and the late Professor Proton comes to him to give him advice. He is there to share some important insight with Sheldon that will make him more human, but will he listen? Let’s just there is an extremely tender moment between the roommates you don’t want to miss.
Tonight’s touching episode is the best one of the season, and since it’s almost over you don’t want to miss it.
Then at 9:30p change the dial over to Fox to watch another hilarious episode of Surviving Jack.
Rachel (Claudia Lee) tells her dad, Jack (Chris Meloni) that she wants to join the wrestling team, but the coach (Neil Flynn) won’t let on because she is a girl. He thinks she is trying to pull something over on him, so he asks the coach if his daughter is telling the truth. He tells him that she is, and he will let her on the team if he beats him at wrestling. Of course, Jack wins and now his daughter is on the team. Which makes him happy until he finds out, she was pulling something over on him. He doesn’t like to be played by his daughter, so he gets revenge on her.
While they are having a father/daughter moment, Joanne (Rachael Harris) and Frankie (Connor Buckley) are having a mother/son one. It is time for the annual weekend getaway which he is all excited about. That is until he finds out that some of the popular guys from his school are staying at the same hotel and his mom embarrasses him. Now their once perfect relationship isn’t as perfect and she doesn’t know how to win her son back.
So now both parents are dealing with issues with their kids, and want things to go back to the way that were. Will they be able to get their kids back or have they lost them forever?
If you’ve be watching this delightful family sitcom, then you do they do in a way that brings a smile to your face because as rough as they are in the outside, they are as sweet on the inside. It the warmth of this family’s relationship that makes Surviving Jack so enjoyable and a must watch.
Did I mention that Frankie’s friends, Mikey (Tyler Foden) and George (Kevin Hernandez) walk in on Jack and Joanne doing it? Jack tells them that if they ever enter the house again uninvited, he will shave their eyebrows off? Do they heed his warning or will they go eyebrowless? You have to tune and you know you want to find out.
