Blues Traveler singer and harmonica player John Popper was arrested after the vehicle he was riding in was clocked going 111 mph, the Washington State Patrol said Wednesday. Inside the black Mercedes SUV, officers found a cache of weapons and a small amount of marijuana, the Patrol said. A police dog searched the vehicle, finding numerous hidden compartments containing four rifles, nine handguns and a switchblade knife. Authorities also found a Taser and night vision goggles. The vehicle was seized. Popper, who lives in Snohomish, Wash., is the owner of the vehicle, which was being driven by Brian Gourgeois, 34, of Austin, Texas, said state patrol Trooper Jeff Sevigney. The vehicle also had flashing emergency headlights, a siren and a public address system, the Patrol said. “Popper indicated to troopers that he had installed these items in his vehicle because (in the event of a natural disaster) he didn’t want to be left behind,” the Patrol said in a news release. He also told officers he collected weapons, the Patrol said. The two men were booked administratively into the Adams County jail and released on their own recognizance. Authorities plan to charge them with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Gourgeois will also face a charge of reckless driving, the Patrol said.

|  Singer Kelis was arrested early Friday morning in Miami Beach after screaming racial obscenities at two female police officers who were posing as prostitutes. Damn. She's bossy! The officers were working an undercover operation in South Beach, when cops say Kelis started screaming racial slurs at the women. She continued screaming and rushed toward them, and had to be restrained by friends, a police report said. According to the report, Kelis' "actions caused people walking by to stop and form a crowd. The sidewalk was blocked by the disturbance, causing people to walk in the street and causing traffic to stop." Kelis, the wife of rapper Nas, was charged with two misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct and for resisting arrest. A rep for Kelis had no comment.

Busta busted again |

|  Busta Rhymes was busted again yesterday – this time for driving without a license in lower Manhattan – barely a day after appearing before a judge on two assault charges. The "Touch It" rapper was pulled over at 6 a.m. after he allegedly ran a red light at Warren Street and Broadway. He got out of the car and told cops, "You hide behind the shield. This is bulls – – -," prosecutors said. He later told police he thought the officers were robbers posing as cops. Cops charged Rhymes yesterday with operating a vehicle without a license. He was released on his own recognizance and did not comment as he left Manhattan Criminal Court last night. On Tuesday, a judge offered Rhymes a sentence of three years on probation, six months of anger management and three weeks of community service on charges of beating up his former driver and a fan.

I still say if he would have cooperated with the cops when his bodyguard was shot and killed, he would not be arrested every few weeks.

Ray Liotta busted for DUI after a car accident |

| Ray Liotta was arrested for DUI on Saturday night, Access Hollywood has learned. LAPD confirmed to Access the actor was arrested shortly after 8 p.m. on Saturday night in Los Angeles when Liotta's vehicle collided with two parked cars. No one was injured, according to LAPD. Liotta, 52, was arrested on site and charged with misdemeanor DUI. Bail was set at $15,000. He is scheduled to appear in court on March 19. He also stars in the new comedy "Wild Hogs," alongside Tim Allen, Martin Lawrence and John Travolta.

Brandy the cause of a fatal car crash? |

| TMZ has learned R&B sensation Brandy was involved in a fatal accident last month, and it appears to be her fault. It happened at 10:30 AM on December 30, 2006 on the 405 Freeway in Los Angeles. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ Brandy was driving her 2007 Land Rover at 65 mph and did not notice that cars in front of her had slowed considerably. We’re told Brandy’s vehicle struck a 2005 Toyota. The Toyota then hit a 1989 Toyota. The 2005 Toyota then slid sideways and hit the center divider. As the 2005 Toyota came to a halt, it was struck by a 1988 Acura. We’re told the driver of the 2005 Toyota was taken to Holy Cross Hospital in critical condition and she died. We’re told Brandy was not injured. The driver of the Acura suffered moderate injuries. Brandy was not arrested and there is no evidence drugs or alcohol were involved. Calls to Brandy’s reps have not yet been returned.
