Anderson Cooper was on The Late Show on Friday and David Letterman actually asked him if he has Gaydar. At first the CNN host joked that it was going off with Dave, but then he seriously answered the question.
When I watched that clip, I was like that is why Anderson wasn’t open about his sexuality until recently. Then I saw the first clip and I was like he opened up the can of worms earlier on during the interview. But still such a weird question.
Last week it was announced that Anderson Live was not renewed for a third season, thus making Anderson Cooper lucky he kept his night job because he lost his day one. And some have pondered why his show was cancelled before some of the freshman Daytime Talk Shows whose ratings are more in the mud than his. Well how many of them aired a segment about Honey Boo Boo Child’s past pet pig getting pampered at posh pet hotel? And with that I think we all have or answer. It’s just not Kosher to see a porker ride a treadmill.
Now even though I am saying none of the shows do things like this, I actually wish they did because that is the most feel good thing I have seen on a Daytime Talk Show in forever.
Anderson Cooper’s daytime talk show is going off the air after this summer because Telepictures won’t be bringing Anderson Live back for a third season according to The New York Times.
Telepictures released this statement about cancelling the show, “We are extremely proud of Anderson and the show that he and the entire production team have produced. While we made significant changes to the format, set and produced it live in its second season, the series will not be coming back for a third season in a marketplace that has become increasingly difficult to break through. We will continue to deliver top-quality shows throughout next summer.â€
Now that Anderson is no longer attached to the daytime show via a Warner Bros. subsidiary, the same company that owns CNN, I am wondering if he will take the opportunity to jump off of CNN’s sinking ship and go to a network where he can by seen by more than a million people every night. When Anderson 360 actually gets a million viewers.
Taraji P. Henson was the guest host today on Anderson Live and just before she was set to go on her dress split open. Being the professional that she is, she went on with the show. Except she had to have two seamstresses sew up her dress as she walked on the stage and then sat down. It didn’t even faze her that they were fixing up her dress as she talked to Anderson Cooper. But then again as she explained it, it isn’t the first time that happened to her.
Kristin Chenoweth was on the season premiere of Anderson Live today and she told the Anderson Cooper about her horrible accident on The Good Wife set. She explained that she told him, “they cracked my nose in two places and knocked me out cold and flattened me down like a fly swatter and my head hit a curb so I had big skull fracture, my neck and my ribs.” I don’t think any of us realized just how bad it was until now and thankfully she is healing.
So as she was describing how injured he was, he told her that he emailed her in the hospital. She then said you didn’t send me flowers, Oprah did but you didn’t. He tried to blame it on his producers, but we all know who thought an email was the same thing.
BTW I bet you a penny that he sent her a huge bouquet of flowers as soon as the show was over to make up for his huge mistake. And hopefully to also make it up to her he got Neil Diamond and Barbra Streisand to sing a little song they sang together to her because you know he is good friends with them and can get them to do stuff like that.
