Real cause of McPriss’ laryngitis? |

Katharine McPhee is working so hard on her debut album that she’ s hurting her voice, and sources tell TMZ that FOX is none too happy about it. In fact, the "American Idol" runner-up has such severe brochitis and laryngitis that she missed the opening night of the Idols summer tour.Kat has been ordered by her doctor to give her pipes "total voice rest," and has had to give a vow of complete silence until she’s better. FOX sources tell TMZ that McPhee has also been complaining about touring, and wants to focus more on laying tracks down in the studio.
Such a shame straining her voice for an album that will not sell.

More proof she is a McPriss |

Katharine McPhee might not be the sweet All-American girl we’ve seen on "American Idol." A source tells us that the other contestants, now on a nationwide tour, secretly despise Katharine for her diva-like behavior and the special treatment they feel producers have bestowed on her. She begged off the first three weeks of the tour — supposedly due to bronchitis — and the others are not looking forward to her antics after her return.

I would’ve loved to have seen her face when they showed her how many singles she sold her first week. It will be even more fun when they show her this week’s numbers.

Boycott Vitamin Water |

KELLY Clarkson has agreed to promote her own flavor of Vitamin Water. The only catch is the company won’t announce the deal until the "American Idol" winner loses some more weight. Last year, 50 Cent endorsed his own flavor of the trendy sports drink, which is said to have 50 percent of the daily vitamin requirements. The muscular rapper actually looks like he’s in robust health. Clarkson looks like she could lose a few pounds. Since the brand is all about fitness and health, she’s been put on a strict diet and the deal is secret until she slims down.

Please she is fine the way she is! Seriously not the best advertising idea to have a superskiiny girl (like Nicole Richie) promote your Vitamin Water as their only meal of the day. But it could just be me?

Katherine McPriss’ Destiny is not to sell |

Katharine McPhee’s single, "Over the Rainbow/My Destiny" made it’s chart debut this week. So, here are the numbers:
According to Billboard Biz.com, Katharine McPhee’s single sold:
47,000 – Physical Singles 28,000 – Digital Singles ———- 75,000 – Total Sales
MJs Blog
Since digital sales were not around for the first few Idols I do not consider it total sales, so I am saying McPriss only sold 47,000 singles.
I am also wondering if her lack of sales might be a karma thing? Because the below picture was taken on Sunday with her boyfriend in Laguana Beach and she does not look all that sick. Do you think she looks so sick that she was not able to perform yesterday (3 days later) in New Hampshire with the other American Idols? Just asking?

Bo Bice likes being out of the Idol spotlight |

With another edition of "American Idol" having come and gone, Harold "Bo" Bice is no longer the mega-popular TV reality series’ reigning runner-up — a development he’s actually quite happy about. "I was kind of wondering how that would feel," says Bice, 30, the Southern rock belter who finished second to Carrie Underwood on the fourth "Idol" season. "I felt we’d just be swept under the rug and forgotten about, but that hasn’t been the case." "But I also enjoy the fact that people don’t just identify me as Bo from ‘American Idol,’" he continues. "Now they identify me as Bo, the guy who’s on TV with the video, the single ‘The Real Thing,’ and an album and everything. Our fans aren’t just ‘American Idol’ fans; they’re Bo Bice fans now, so that means a lot to me." But Bice is proud that fellow Alabaman Taylor Hicks took the "Idol" title, and he feels like he paved the way a bit for some changes in the show that benefited this year’s class. "This year’s show, Taylor’s up there playing harmonica and there’s some other guy playing guitar, and I thought, ‘Wow, that’s what I tried to do last year, and all I got was, ‘You can’t do that, this is a singing competition,’" Bice says. "People were like, ‘Wow, they’re breaking the molds,’ but they weren’t breaking the molds to me. They’re breaking the rules that they made us work under. So I’m just glad to be away from it all so I can do what I want."
Billboard
And we feel the same way. I tried to find a hit on his first (and only) album and there was none to be had.
