Back when Paula Abdul was just 7 years old her sister’s friend’s 16 year old boyfriend used to babysit her. That guy might be someone you heard of his because as she told Jimmy Kimmel on his ABC late show last night the name of her babysitter is Michael Bolton. She then told the host that he was as good of a babysitter as his hair was in the ’80s. Well she didn’t say thatexact;y, I did, but it was something along those lines.
One thing she did say that was good about him is that he used to sing her to sleep. And it was his singing that would bring them together later on in their lives when she was old enough to take care of her self without a babysitter. But you have to watch how and she reacted to that meeting in the above interviews.
And the two would be reunited once again on Jimmy Kimmel Live and you have to hear the crooner’s take on babysitting that bratty little girl. Those were his words about her, according to The X Factor host.
Seriously how did we go this long without knowing this little tibdit???
Yesterday on NBC’s Late Night Simon Cowell told Jimmy Fallon that he loves Jersey Shore. Never in a million years would I have believed it, had I not heard the words come out of his mouth. The King of Mean said, “I love Jersey Shore, I mean, I really like these people. I love them. So I said ‘we got to go to New Jersey because I want to find somebody with a bit of attitude.'”
After hearing him saying that, I say f*ck The X Factor and give him a show where he needs to find the next cast for Jersey Shore. That show will totally grenade his current Fox one. You know you would totally watch and that show would be the one that is bigger than Idol!

Steven Tyler and Nicole Scherzinger were performing at iHeartRadio Music Festival and the two were caught kissing. So now I have to wonder if the American Idol and The X Factor judges have something to tell us? I hope not because I was kind of creeped out by the 63 Aerosmith singer sharing a liplock with the 33 year old Pussycat Doll. Oh wait, as we learned on Idol last season, she is way too old for him.
Today is a day I wouldn’t want to be Simon Cowell because The X Factor came in third behind Modern Family and Criminal Minds according TV By Numbers. The news is great for scripted television, but sucks for the once popular Mr Nasty. In fact the news is excellent for sitcoms that two years ago some people were saying were on their death bed, hopefully this news means that singing competitions are on theirs.
It used to be singing/variety competitions were in the spring and summer, but Fox decided to make it a year round event and it isn’t working. I don’t know if it is as much the singing overload as much as all the overexposure of the show. The Voice did a better job with their marketing because we had to guess how the show was going to work, so the element of surprise made you want to watch it. Plus they got A-List musicians to coach on the show, while The X Factor got C Listed. I am averaging that out with Simon being a B List star.
Now back to Simon, I wonder if Fox can askSimon for their money back? Since they paid him much more than he is worth. I also wonder if Fox is thinking of moving the show to one day a week if it declines in the ratings tonight, which most new shows do after their debut.
Why do you think the show failed? Did you watch? Will you watch again? Do you miss Cheryl Cole?
While the news was very bad for The X Factor, it was the opposite for Revenge that had over 10 million people checking out their series premiere! In fact just 2 million less people watched the show than the revamped CSI in its new timeslot! ABC is happy because they had great numbers and it didn’t cost them anything near what Fox paid for Cowell’s ego.
