Today was not a good day for Freeform’s last two scripted shows. That is because they cancelled Cruel Summer and Good Trouble.
Cruel Summer will not get a third season, and Good Trouble will air its final season next year. The Fosters spinoff will not be the only one airing its final episodes in 2024. The Black-ish spinoff Grown-ish will be doing the same.
While it looks like scripted is done on Freeform, The Hollywood Reporter reports that there will be three unscripted shows, Chrissy & Dave Dine Out, Royal Rules of Ohio, and Sasha Reid and the Midnight Order, are coming to the network in 2024.
Freeform wasn’t the only one swinging the axe. The Hollywood Reporter says that AMC pulled the plug on Bob Odenkirk’s Lucky Hank after just one season.
It has been almost two years since Creepshow’s third season premiered, and I have been wondering where The Creep has been. Well, he has been busy writing new scares to share with us. And on October 13th, he will be back with all new episodes on Shudder, AMC+, and AMC.
AMC did not give any details on the new season. And even with no information, I can’t wait to be creeped out again by the terrifying series.
The two streaming services will stream six episodes on Friday the 13th, while the broadcast network will release a new episode every Friday.
AMC announced today that Fear the Walking Dead will be ending with season 8. The first six final episodes will debut on May 14th, and the rest will be coming later.
The eighth season of Fear begins after the conclusion of Season 7, when Morgan’s (Lennie James) and Madison’s (Kim Dickens) hopes to rescue Mo from PADRE did not go as planned. Now, Morgan, Madison and the others they brought to the island are living under PADRE’s cynical rule. With our characters demoralized and dejected, the task of reigniting belief in a better world rests with the person Morgan and Madison set out to rescue in the first place — Morgan’s daughter, Mo.
The news isn’t all bad for Walking Dead fans because they are still airing not one, not two, but three other spinoffs. Also coming this year is The Walking Dead: Dead City, starring Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan in June. The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, led by Norman Reedus will premiere later this year. Finally, next year we will get a spinoff starring Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira.
For a franchise that has Dead in its title, it really seems to be alive.

Remember when The Walking Dead was one of the most-watched shows on television. Then it jumped the shark or struck out with a baseball bat? After that moment, people took a baseball bat to the show. Therefore, it makes sense that AMC has decided it’s time for the show to remove the walking for its title, and just be dead.
That is the bad news for the fewer fans that are left. The good news is that end date is still a long way away. The network still has six episodes left to air from season 10. Plus, season 11’s 24 episodes will air over two years. That means the show will not have its head cut off until 2023.
Therefore, shed a tear today because you know the show is ending. But know it still has 30 more episodes to piss you off.
Wait there is more. If you are still watching in 2023, there is going to be another spinoff from the series with Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) and Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride).
So today’s announcement doesn’t really feel like anything. It is like wake me up when I should care.

Christina Hendricks attended the premiere for the final season of Mad Men yesterday and her best assets were making men mad. That’s because her buttoned down shirt could barely stay closed because her breasts were a little too big for it. Not that anyone minds.
