In 1995, Clueless dominated movie theaters all over the world, and fans have wanted more Cher Horowitz ever since. And soon, they will be getting it.
Paramount+ announced today that the beloved movie will be getting a sequel series with Alicia Silverstone reprising her role.
Picking up 30 years after the original film, beloved Beverly Hills icon Cher Horowitz has figured out a lot: She’s successful in business and has mastered motherhood – that is, until her daughter’s high school years, and Cher finds that parenting a teenager makes her feel “clueless” all over again.
“Clueless is coming home,” said Jane Wiseman, Head of Originals for Paramount+. “Thirty-one years ago, Alicia Silverstone’s Cher Horowitz captivated audiences with her signature chic style, sharp wit and relentless optimism, helping make Clueless a box office hit and instant pop culture classic. We’re especially proud to be filming this much-anticipated series in Los Angeles, honoring its starring role in the original film while investing in the city’s exceptional talent and crews.”
No other details were released at this time, like does Cher wind up with Josh (Paul Rudd). That is what I want to know most of all before I commit to watching.
On July 19th, Clueless is turning like ancient, aka 30! In honor of that, Mattel created some toys for the kids who never age, like Paul Rudd.
Cher and Dionne got their own Barbie dolls dressed in the signature plaid outfits, and Tai joins them as part of the Little People collection, and the Polly Pocket Micro Dolls and Playset.
Now, we can create that sequel we never got nor need with these dolls because as if we should ever grow up? Like, how much fun would that be?
Before Alicia Silverstone had her own car in Clueless, she wanted Kevin Arnold to pick her up in one on The Wonder Years. She looks the same now as she did when she was 15 in that 1992 episode.
The other day, Alicia Silverstone shared a video of herself taking a bite out of a small, red, mysterious fruit off of someone’s plant in their gated yard.
The actress was clueless as to what it was, so she asked her fans to tell her what she put in her mouth. It turns out it was a Jerusalem Cherry. The fruit is poisonous if ingested in large quantities.
Therefore, after fans found out what she was eating, they became worried about her health. She took to social media and wrote, “Alive and well! Don’t worry… I didn’t swallow ”
The moral of the story is don’t eat anything off of someone else’s property. It could kill you.
