The Old Spice ads keep getting creppier |

Old Spice has shown us mothers stalking their sons and Terry Crews slicing off his legs to sell their products, and now they are showing us a head of hair crawling off its owner and wiping the sweat off of a woman at a gym. Another commercial has that same head of hair sliver down its owner to get the guy a reservation at an upscale restaurant. I don’t know who they are attracting to buy their shampoo, but it ain’t me.
BTW, I don’t know what the people are smoking over at the advertising company that came up with these commercials, but obviously its a very bad stash. Seriously, what is wrong with them? Also are they the same company that is working on those weird DirectTV ads? You know the ones with the marionettes?

Arby’s wanted to show you how they make their 13-Hour Smokehouse Brisket, so they made a 13 hour commercial to show us the whole process and I do mean whole. Instead of speeding through the over half day smoking, they shot it in real time. It is as interesting to watch as watching meat cook, oh wait!
Actually, it reminds me of the WPIX Yule Log, so it leaves me with a smile on my face. There is something just hypnotizing about it. And the most important thing is that it makes me want to try the sandwich and that is what a commercial is supposed to do.
BTW I wonder how long it took to upload this video to YouTube??? More time than it took to cook that Brisket.

Recently McDonald’s introduced the more fashionable Ronald McDonald and yesterday they debuted the new Happy Meal character. I don’t know who is working for the fast food chain these days, but they need to slow down on these decisions. Because personally I don’t like any of them.
If they want to get their sales back up, then they should serve Chicken Nuggets 24 hours a day and the McRib all year round. I know the latter is the only reason why I eat fast food once a year.

Another horrifying ad from Old Spice |

I don’t know what Old Spice‘s advertising agency is smoking, but whatever it is I don’t want any of it.
Earlier this year, they created one of the creepiest ads I’ve ever seen when they had mothers stalking their grown sons as they went out on dates with other women.
Well over the weekend they released a new commercial and it is creepy but in another way. Terry Crews, acting like a downed a few cases of Red Bull, shaved himself off of his face. That’s right, little Crews was a hair on his face and big Crews shaved him off. What’s even worse, besides the obnoxious screaming, is we see little Crews in the sink with his feet cut off. But it didn’t stop there because a razor came and cut the big Crews down to size.
Seriously, WTF are they thinking over at that ad agency because it is beyond weird. I was an out-of-the-box advertising major and even I wouldn’t come up with something as strange as that advertisement.
