If you thought that the biggest news coming from tomorrow’s Saturday Night Live was going to be from musical performer Cher, host Ariana Grande, or Michael Che and Colin Jost swapping jokes, you were wrong.
Today, Variety is reporting that tomorrow will be Bowen Yang’s final bow as a Not-Ready-For-Primetime-Player.
After 7 years and 150 episodes, he is off to see the Wizard.
Yang joined the sketch comedy series in 2018 as a writer, and a year later, he was promoted to on-air.
Along with starring on SNL, he also appeared in Wicked and Wicked: For Good with Grande, and he co-hosts the podcast Las Culturistas with Matt Rogers. So he will be OK with whatever he does next. But he will be missed.
The beloved SNL star joins Ego Nwodim, Heidi Gardner, Michael Longfellow, Devon Walker, Emil Wakim, and John Higgins, who also departed the variety show this season.
