[ # ] ABC and NBC went on a cancelling spree
May 14th, 2011 under ABC, NBC

The bad news is a sh!tload of good shows got cancelled yesterday by ABC and NBC like Fox did two days earlier, the good news they are being by replaced by scripted programming and not reality television.
Here is what ABC said goodbye to V, Brothers and Sisters, No Ordinary Family, Off the Map, Better With You, Detroit 1-8-7 and Mr. Sunshine according to TV Line. The one that upsets me most on this list is V that had an out of this world season finale and I really wanted to see what they were going to do next. Hopefully Syfy would consider picking up the show because I think it would perfect for the network that is missing an series about aliens on its lineup. Hint, hint. On a positive note the network renewed Body of Proof.
NBC killed The Event, Outsource, Law & Order: LA, Chase, School Pride, America’s Next Great Restaurant, The Cape and Perfect Couples. The Event is being shopped around, so if you want to see this show get a second season you have to watch it this and next Monday at 9p. On a happy note for the network, Harry’s Law will be helping more people is desperate need of it. They should do an episode with all the show runners out of work after this week’s massacre.
On that note with broadcasting ratings declining and declining, I really wonder if the networks made the right choice by going on such a killing spree. Barely any of the news show are seeing a second season, so why do you think adding all of those new shows is going to get people watching? Loyalty is being dismissed and I think the networks are going to feel the pain where it will hurt them most…their pockets.
