Bob Newhart was on the couch yesterday with Bob Daily and Marcia Wallace, stars of his hit ’70s sitcom The Bob Newhart Show, as ATAS celebrated his 50 years in show business. I so admire the 80 year old’s contribution to television because he has done some of the best shows that have ever graced the small screen. And I am not just talking about the greatest ending to any television show, you know the one he came up with to conclude Newhart.
I recently spoke with Bob Newhart at the
TV Land Awards and he told me the classic Newhart ending came about. Such a comedic genius.
BTW 82 year old Bill Daily and 67 year old Marcia Wallace look as good as they did when the show aired over 30 years ago.
