For almost a year, there have been rumors that the cast of Friends was going to shoot an unscripted reunion special for HBO Max. It has been delayed due
to greed and COVID-19, and they have yet to set a date
Last week, the streaming service announced that the cast of Fresh Prince of Bel-Air would reunite for their own unscripted special, and over the last two days, they have been filming it. Take that Friends.
Yesterday, it was just Will Smith interviewing the original Aunt Viv. Today, on the sitcom’s 30th anniversary, Smith told Tatyana Ali, Karyn Parsons, Joseph Marcell, Daphne Maxwell Reid, Alfonso Ribeiro, and DJ Jazzy Jeff that he spoke with Janet Hubert for the first time in 27 years. Then they got down to business and caught us up with everything they have been up to since their show went off the air in 1996.
The reunion, that will air begin streaming around Thanksgiving, will also feature special surprise guests, music, dancing, and laughs.
