Over the summer, NBC picked up the Will & Grace revival for a second season and today
Fox did the same for
Seth MacFarlane’s The Orville. The Space show launched after an NFL double header to great ratings. Even though, the numbers have declined a little, it has still done really well against Will & Grace, Sandal and football. Therefore the news is not a surprise.
And for people like me, we welcome it. Even though, I am normally not a fan of shows that take place in Space, I am really enjoying this one. It is the right amount of humor, heart and moral lessons. You wouldn’t think that is something MacFarlane would get right, but he nails it.
On his note, here is what he said about the renewal, “#TheOrville has been picked up for season 2! Thanks to all our awesomely enthusiastic fans who’ve made this happen!” You are welcome, now where is my check for watching?
