So as scripted TV shows dry up because of the WGA strike and reality shows are wrapping up (like The CW’s America’s Next Top Model tonight at 8p) The CW is giving us something new and fun to enjoy! Crowned: The Mother of all Pageants lives up to its name.
You thought Pageant moms were bad when it was just their daughters competing…wait until you see what they are like when they are competing with their daughters for the title and $100,000. They get down right bitchy and catty and this is the only the first episode!!! Some mother/daughter teams you will learn are not worth wasting your time getting to know and then there is one mother/daughter team you can’t wait to see go.
Tonight their first challenge is to come up with a name for their team, pick out attire that explains their team name and make a first impression on the judges. Some will shine (more than their dresses as you will see), some will bore and you and the Red Headed Bombshells will leave you hating them!
It is so much fun to watch the sincere mother/daughter bonding experiences going on, but it is also great to watch the competition mentality that is also going on. Some girls want the title and will do anything to get it while others are happy to be on the show and for a chance to win the $100,000.
I can’t wait to watch to see who the mother/daughters grow as the competition go on and how far they will go to win it all.
