Back in the late ’80s Andrew Dice Clay was one of the biggest comedians on the circuit. That was then, this now. Now the foul mouthed comedian has moved from Brooklyn to Vegas with his girlfriend Carmen (Natasha Leggero) and he’s trying to reclaim what was once his on Dice tonight at 9:30p on Showtime.
On tonight’s season premiere his girlfriend’s brother is getting married to his boyfriend and they can’t stand Dice. To makes matters worse for him, there is a cursed Elvis Presley impersonator (Peter Dobson) who is bringing him nothing but bad luck. What happens when the two of them collide?
Next week, Adrien Brody studies him so that he can macho like the Diceman. Only problem is he takes shadowing him to a whole new level of creepiness.
The following week, he is cast in a series of commercials with some of Vegas’ biggest names and he thinks he knows the hierarchy of performers there. Which winds up working against him in a very funny way.
Then on the next episode, he finds out his girlfriend’s ex-husband is still paying her alimony. That hurts his manhood, so he decides to get a job. The good news is he gets one, but the bad news is something you have to see to believe.
Finally, we get to meet his sons. They want to be musicians and get an agent (Adam Campbell) who hates Dice. He comes up with a plan to get scare the agent and it backfires big time.
On the season finale, an old friend of Dice’s comes to visit him. This friend wants revenge on Dice and plans on doing that by taking his friends away from him. Will it work?
Andrew Dice Clay is in on the joke of this show and because of that it works brilliantly, oh! Seriously, Dice has a good chance of bringing Dice back into the spotlight again. So tune into watch him climb his way back into the spotlight.
