According to The Sun, production has been halted on Sweeney Todd indefinitely because of Johnny Depp. Depp told them that he will not return to work until Lily-Rose is fully recovered. I am assuming because Depp is good friends with Tim Burton, that Burton will not recast the role and the movie won't resume until she is better. The crew was told that if Depp is not back by the weekend they will be laid off. A source told The Sun, “He does not want to come back until Lily-Rose gets the all-clear. The plan is to re-employ everybody when she is better.” Hopefully for all parties involved (especially Lily-Rose) she will be better real soon.
I just have to say I really respect Johnny Depp for his decision. I respect him for putting his family first. I know there are people that will be losing money because of his decision, but sometimes we forget family comes first. Good for him for reminding us of that. Sadly it is under these circumstances.
