The divorce of Paul McCartney and his wife, Heather, is unlikely to go as smoothly as the former Beatle is hoping, according to press reports. The couple have insisted they want the break-up to be amicable as possible, stressing that their chief concern is their daughter, Beatrice, two. But a spokeswoman for Heather McCartney said she would file claims against Paul after he described her as ‘argumentative’ and ‘rude to staff’.’Heather’s going to be filing her own counter-claims both in this country and America,’ her spokeswoman said. There have been suggestions Sir Paul might use recent allegations about his wife’s past – that she appeared in pornographic pictures and worked as high class escort girl – to reduce her pay-off.
