December 5th, 2012 under ABC

Tonight at 8p The Middle starts off the night with a Christmas episode that proves the holiday is more about family than presents. The Hecks have been going through some tough financial times ever since Frankie lost her job. Now Mike and her have to find a way to use whatever little money they have to buy presents for the kids. Frankie gets a job at a Target like store and finds out her discount doesn’t kick in until Christmas Eve. So now she is stuck with the job until then and as we all know the closer it gets to December 25th, the less there is that any one really wants to get as a gift.
Even though things aren’t looking good for the parents, Axel is all happy because he got his own place. That’s right, he moved out of the house and made some nice digs for himself. Brick is starring in the Church Christmas play and Sue is making cookies for it. Since she is too old to be in the play, she is happy with anything she can do for it.
So things seem to be OK for the Hecks even though Christmas is in jeopardy. Will it be a Merry Christmas or won’t it be?
Then at 8:30p the Aliens learn about Christmas on The Neighbors followed by Modern Family at 9p.

At 9:30p Suburgatory will leave you singing that’s because Dalia wrote a song and recorded a music video to win Carmen back. Will she get the only thing she wants from Santa?
Then Tessa is leaving the suburbs to spend the holiday with her mom and George just wants his daughter to spend the day with him. Will it work out for them?
But all of that is pretty minor because Ryan finally finds out that he is adopted and to say he doesn’t take the news well will be an understatement. But something will happen to him that will not only change him but someone else on the show. You have to tune in because you don’t want to miss the sweet surprise!
And you especially don’t want to miss Carly Chaikin rocking out to You Missed A Spot, the best song sung by a fictional character since Robin Sparkles did Let’s Go to the Mall!
Finally the night closes with Nashville at 10p and Rayna finds out about the pictures. Will her husband come clean or will he drop out of the race? Juliette meets the parents and goes to church. Will she spontaneously combust? There will be break ups, first kisses, a suicide attempt and marriage proposal in the winter finale and you don’t want to miss a single second!
