Earlier today I attended a screening for tomorrow’s The Vampire Diaries and Executive Producer Julie Plec was there to answer questions about the episode. Well I wanted to know if they have an end plan for the show and she told us that when The CW puts a stake through the show’s heart they know how it will end. She said, “Kevin (Williamson) and I came up with our end plan sitting in the mall lobby of the W Midtown in Atlanta on a Sunday in season two. I think we were trying to write episode seven. We were tired and stressed and talked about the last moment of the show, last sort of character moments of the show and we both started to cry in the middle of the mall. And just felt like that was right.” She then added, “And assuming that he and I are both around…then yeah we know how we want to end.” She didn’t give us any clue what that ending is, but if they were both crying I doubt it will be a happy one? Or maybe it is for one brother and not the other one? Or maybe both brothers have more in stake with their hearts then we know? How do you think we will eventually say goodbye to the show? Whatever Plec and Williamson have mapped out, you know it will be a fitting ending for Stephan, Damon and Elena.
Oh and one other tidbit, not everyone will be back for season four. And we might not know by the end of the season who those people are. But what I can tell you is the wheels are put into motion during tomorrow’s episode and you don’t want to miss a single second of the game changing episode on The CW at 8p.
