First Simon Cowell said he would not be back for season 10 of
American Idol, then Ellen Degeneres said she was one season and out and now Kara DioGuardi announced that the third season will not be a charm for her. In a press release sent out by Fox here is what the fourth judge said about her departure, “I felt like I won the lottery when I joined AMERICAN IDOL two years ago, but I feel like now is the best time to leave IDOL,†said DioGuardi. “I am very proud to have been associated with AMERICAN IDOL – it has truly been an amazing experience. I am grateful to FOX, FremantleMedia and 19 Entertainment, as well as the cast, crew and contestants, for all they have given to me. I look forward to my next challenge, and want to thank everyone who has supported me. All the best to everyone on Season 10!â€
Now that Kara is leaving the show, I am actually going to miss her. Believe it or not I wish she was the one staying over Randy Jackson, who is reportedly locked for another season of the Fox reality show.
No word if and who will replace her and the other two judges. But one thing Fox has said about American Idol 10 is that they are adding LA to their audition lineup on September 22nd. So if you want to sing in front of the new set of judges, you have one last opportunity to audition for the chance!
